  • Ryan without Colin how sad.

  • last woman on earth o.O

  • this was ok but us was so much better...us is beast at entertainment if nothing else

  • i love the us version, funniest show ive ever seen! been watching it for years

  • The US suggestions are way better than these

  • why is ryan here?

  • @mollymousemm Because the UK version always had Americans and Brits working together.

  • @xander7ful they shld hav it lik that 4 the american 1

  • i hate the host,crapy sugestments,i want cloin,wane,ryan and some other person

  • Maybe the host isn't the best, but I like the uncensored quality of British television. Who cares about the host? The American version has a guy 100x worse than this host - he's called a censor. Last I saw they bleeped out the proper, medical term for a part of the male anatomy. Where do they find these people? Kentucky?

  • I hate the UK host. He barely gives anytime on the bits. If i were them i would keep going and ignore the button

  • which one came out first i hope it was us so we didnt steal another great show from a foreign country like americas got talent or whatever please reply

  • @tenyproductions Whose Line UK was first.

  • @tenyproductions Whose Line UK was first. But I'm sure the UK doesn't mind. The US & the UK love each other.

  • So weird seeing Ryan without Colin.

  • yeah, american version's better

  • ryan did everything except for the last scene wow lol

  • *sigh* Clips like these make me REALLY miss Josie.

  • why an american hat? i thought this show was in britain

  • @RottNBrain it was filmed in the US eventually but the audience/host/crew were british (besides most of the people we know the other actors were english as well)

  • It's amazing how flat the show seems without Drew chuckling.

  • uk version sux

  • why is ryan in the uk version?

  • @FueledByRamen101 He's been in it since it started in the UK.

  • I love the quick sand thing, they were perfectly synchronized in their sinking.

  • It's Ryan, Chip, Not Chip, and Not Josie

  • who are the other 2 in it, either then colin and ryan

  • who are the other 2 in it, either then colin and ryan

  • who are the other 2 in it, either then colin and ryan

  • umm the brits had it first. the americans redid it after. . . but agreed, the american version is better

  • @redbaron5656 the british created it ¬¬ , the us copied it

  • US didn't copy it, the show just moved over here.

  • wgitch ones chip?

  • the one with the brown jacket

  • What a great show that was! x

  • HAHA! It took me a moment to figure out the "Arriving at the wrong place" one.

  • Chip looks hella young in this clip.

  • ryan has to come in for almost every one of these.

  • what is jane wearing?!

some of these are spectaculary unfunny

    "you're stuck in quicksand"? hunh?

  • the english version is wayyy better, better performers

  • uh, technically, they're both english

  • ryans the only funny 1

  • They're improv performers, they've got instincts about when to speak and when not to speak.

And often enough the film dub games DO descend into chaos. Especially when there's three people.

  • Little known trivia--the woman, Jane, played Baby's sister, Lisa, in Dirty Dancing!

  • I'd be more then happy if I were the last gal on earth and Chip was fighting for me! ^__^

  • so the original is prettey funny

  • WHERE'S COLIN?!?

  • This was the U.K. version, where Colin wasn't as much of a regular as he was on the US version.

  • Both versions are ok but really the show is about Ryan and Colin they are the funny ones . They make the show what it is not drew carey on clive anderson.

I prefer clive btw drew aint very funny.

  • @marc1234j No way. I agree that both versions are pretty funny (the US one will of course always be dearer to me but I digress...) but Whose Line was not a show based only on Colin and Ryan, who were of course hilarious, the show depended on the chemistry that all of the performers had with one another...and Drew, Ryan, Colin, Wayne, Chip, Brad, Greg, Jeff, and all the other performers had amazing chemistry. Honestly Whose Line would not be as funny without them all.

  • Well, I personally liked Clive better than Drew b/c Clive sat in the chair and did his job. Drew made it about him all the time, often getting sensitive when someone cracks a joke about him, reminding them he makes more money and runs the show. Whenever he god forbid include himself in the games, he likely didn't have that funny of a joke. He was funny at times, but I think he was egotistical about it and I didn't like that about him.

  • emiel4sma, it's nice to see someone who thinks like me!

  • But if it wasn't for Clive and the British version of WLiiA, the US version would never have existed.

  • best show. other version is better though

  • Basically Ryan was dominating this is all I'm saying. It's nice to see him take center stage... I think that in the US version he was cool with just making the occasional crack at Drew and that being most of what was expected of him.

In fact I can only remember him winning the US version a couple of times.

Also cmon guys, not all of the scenes can be winners the first time around... the audiences have to know the actual game to come up with funny scenes.

  • ..i love who's line...UK and US...and that just wasn't funny..not one bit

  • Note that this is from an early season of the British whose line..

So you cant be expecting perfection...

Feel free to watch later seasons of the uk version with PROPER performers and you'll be surprised

  • yeah uk whose line was here first and this was the earlier series. its still funny!! plus this gave you whose line us anyways, so basically itsTheE30guy, you should be greatful this was even produced!

  • By proper do you mean... (PROOPS)er as in Greg Proops? I think so=]

  • erm.. no i didn't mean it in that way,

I'm talking about UK performers as in Josie, Caroline, Steve and Tony.. etc

Greg is alright for his jibes at Clive but thats the only thing i like him for

  • Agreed, Dont get me wrong the American performers are good but if you look at the series overall it was mainly dominated by UK performers.. for example Josie Laurence and tony slattery where in near EVERY episode, Just as Ryan and colon to the apparent US version.. Ahh well, For me its the British one i follow

  • He's great on the US version =/

  • the yanks just rip off everything we come up with then insist that theirs are better...

  • Ditto to ya..

People just dont seem to understand that THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL and that the humour is ofcourse going to be different as it is made for an UNCENSORED audience..

Hence why you see jokes and quotes in the UK version that you would never hear in the so called "American whose line"

  • Other people in Europe also think the U.S. version is better.

  • Because it is :D

  • Yup, I totally agree:D

  • whos this chick? shes funny!!

  • @Lisucaxx She's Jane Brucker, who played Lisa in "Dirty Dancing".

  • the uk playings are much shorter

  • Wow Ryan Rocked

    x

  • chip didn't get to play much

  • Yes, Ryan "owned" but I think he should have laid off and gave a chance to the other improvisors to bring in their ideas. It's about sharing.

  • yeah but its about getting ideas isnt it. And he happened to get there before everyone else lol.

  • I do have appreciation for other performers. But it's improv and obviously he was getting alot of ideas so he just went for it. i love all the other performers, theyre awsome.

  • other people may had done less funny one swhich were cut

  • "arriving at the wrong place" makes me laugh every time

  • Chip looks so much hotter in the Uk ones!!

  • wow ryan and chip looks so young

  • well it was the english version ppl so no wonder ppl onli recognise ryan (or chip) as it was in england so mainly going to get the 80's comedians from england...

  • I LOVE RYAN!! He fucking OWNS!!! And not to mention is incredibly cute!!!

  • Ryan Owned that

  • The only person i knew on there was Ryan

  • Chip was over beside Ryan.

  • OMG that was Chip!

  • WOW!!! i didnt even recognize him!!! wow baby! lol

  • Black shoes make Ryan's feet seem smaller. I love his crazy shoes on the US version

  • and his crazy ties.

  • Wat Do You Mean?

  • THe woman is Jane Brucker...you may have seen her in Dirty Dancing as Baby's sister Lisa

  • yum...ryan an chip.

  • Amen to that !

  • hahaha! Love Ryan Stiles!

  • who's the woman?. . .

  • jane brucker

  • is that ryan

  • really looks like him...when he was younger(?)

  • yes it is him...

  • Is the lady wearing a dress.

  • no, it's a long shirt over black trousers/pants

  • Ryan was SO SKINNY

    haha

  • The dude in the green shirt is a freaking moron.

  • hee hee...."arriving at the wrong place" made me giggle.

  • Why do people argue about which is better, UK or US? I just love them for the comedy... and ryan *giggles* but its stupid to hate one and love the other, there both the same, just a little bit different (does that make sense?)

  • I'm from the UK, and I saw the UK version first, and I loved it - so then I watched the US version and loved it even more. I like the UK one better for the games, but the US one better for the contestants, the audience and the presenter. They're both awesome, though :)

  • God Chip is so young there!

  • Actually, for Film Dub, I think the players are shown a number of film clips before the taping, and then one is chosen at random when the time comes to play the game. Because, yeah, otherwise it would just result in chaos, with no one having any idea when to start talking.

I expect they do something similar for games like Greatest Hits, with the styles of music being announced beforehand.

All the dialogue, though, is improvised.

  • lol! that orange jacket is amazing! gota love the 80's :o)

  • ryan is on fire

  • Someone call the WHAAAAAAAMBULANCE! We are at war again with the British!

Both Nationallities have their good sides

    UK Allowed more Adult Humor

US improved on UK's Humor making it silly for us Yanks.

  • I agree with Yamato, I also think the british version had quite a few different rounds and games.

  • omg people need to get over themselves.

Its so childish arguing over which version is better (british or american)

if you dont like one version then dont watch it and dont waste your breath complaining!

some people dont give a damn and just watch either BECAUSE THEY LIKE IT!

    geez ¬.¬

  • good on ya i like both the same

  • why did so many people give you a minus on that comment?

  • Well, I'm from America, and, quite frankly, "watching the US version" doesn't give you the authority to say "the UK version is crap."

Maybe it would be better to, you know, WATCH the UK version before completely dismissing it. (Not a lot of people seem to do that.) I don't care if you like the US version better, I care if you don't even give the UK version a chance. *pout* It's good, really!

  • The Us version is totally rehearsed, whereas the UK version is not.

  • how typical of you tubers to turn this into a gay argument about wbo's country is better and chucking shitty insults around like "enjoy your dirty teeth". im not sure what thats supposed to mean.. its not really specific to nationality wether or not you have dirty teeth, its more specific to whether or not you have a tooth brush. or a dentist

  • then dont watch...simple as!!

  • so people have different tastes in what's funny -- why should you care what other people think is better? just watch what you like and leave your "who's better" opinions to yourself. and since Ryan's Canadian, it's not completely a US vs. UK thing is it? =)

  • actually, ryan was born in seattle and colin is from canada

  • ryan is canadian, his parents were both canadian... but yeh, he was born in seattle

  • being born in seattle would make him 1st generation american. his parents are canadian, so i guess he's canadian-american or something. or maybe we're all thinking about this way too much. what do you think?

  • i can't get over how Chip looks.

  • It's a different brand of humour; yes, but snobbishly turning up your nose just because it's a little lower-brow is pretty ignorant. It's one thing not to like something; it's another to be a snob about it.

People like different types of humour; as for me, I like them both- there's a time and a place for cerebral wit, and there's a time and place for slapstick.

  • you know all you guys are allowed to watch both so you don't need to prove yours is best

  • sorry to add more fuel to the fire but i have to say i like the US one a lot more (and i'm a Brit - honest). maybe it's cos i was kinda young when i watched the UK version and didn't get the jokes, but i liked it a lot more when Greg, Ryan and Colin were appearing on it. plus the US studio is so much brighter and more colourful =) but yes, if it wasn't for the UK original, the US one wouldn't have happened. much love to both

  • I shouldn't really say this but what makes english comedians funnier some times is the accent XD

  • Don't worry about it, I'm English and I'm proud of our accent, i love it ^-^

  • Not one of the better uk sketches, but the us cannot compete overall.

  • Can it ever?

  • the reason why ryan was up everytime is because they all suck.. apart from chip.. he rocks :) i'm english and even I love the US version better.. also i wasnt born when the UK version was running

  • Indeed, but the British version is the original.

  • i dont hate british people, but that dude was really pissing me off. US version is way better lol

  • That dude, being...who?

  • If they were talking about Clive, shame on them. I love Clive, he was 1st and in a lot of ways, best.

  • not as good as the us version
