The clock is for the beginning of life the thorns represent the beginning of our lives and how rough we feel it is, the flowers represent the blossoming of our lives and the beauty to it all, then, before we die, life gets rough again and the thorns reappear. The skull is representative of death and the blood running down is the starting over of life for someone else.
