Impressive, how this style of music touches so many from different cultures. I wish I had more irish blood than my surname would imply, but the music still can touch deeply that heart-soul connection that unites us. Please try it for yourself. If you can afford a lap harp, it always sounds pretty. If you can only afford a penny whistle, try that, or singing. I've played bones for 30 years, and am learning bodhran, but those aren't for this slower stuff. Nice post!

What exactly classifies this as "Celtic Music"? I've heard other Celtic music that uses certain instruments and has distinct style and chords, but this sounds like a woman with a piano. I don't see what distinguishes it. It's Good, but I'm not sure what classifies it as "Celtic".

I've heard Celtic elements in countless variations of music, everything from dubstep to death metal to pop to ambient to dance. "Celtic Music" itself would probably have to be the sort of music the Celts played, but given the lack of recording devices back then it makes it abit more awkward.

Ya Irish songs have so much more emotion and care put into them then many of North American songs. They tend to be cranked out just for money, and you can really see the difference. Plus Irish songs include folk lore and stories in them sometimes, which makes for an awesome tune and great lyrics.
