  • so wrong.

now 1st graders will think its ok.

  • "Dale McAlpine was charged with causing harassment, alarm or distress after a homosexual police community support officer (PCSO) overheard him reciting a number of sins referred to in the Bible, including blasphemy, drunkenness and same sex relationships."

UK news. THERE YOU GO. It has started, free speech is infringed in the name of homosexual police protecting people from religion.

  • "When it comes to actively promoting sin to public school children, the homosexuals are light years ahead of adulterers, fornicators and substance abusers, who haven't yet implemented student-run organizations to convince children that such lifestyle choices are normal,"

  • "Evidently, some are beginning to wake up to the fact that their children are no longer receiving true education, but are being clandestinely recruited into sick social movements threatening to tear families apart at the seams,"

  • If the people were so concerned about the education their children were getting and didn't approve of it, they would home school, that they don't only goes to prove how little they really do care.

  • I hate how the "YES on 8" campaign used lies to prove a point,if you check the "opt out" law, parents have the choice to opt their kids out of feildtrips.Several parents of children used in this ad have spoken out against this lie,and comfirmed the fact that they had the possibility to opt their kids out of the feildtrip, and two children were actually opted out.

  • Its not a lie.

Its about what tax dollars are used for.

How would you feel about a mormon community dominating a certain charter school, and they decide to go to a church service, a real one, for a "field trip" but two of the students parents who were NOT mormon "opted out?"

Would that make the field trip OK just because people could opt out?

Of course not. Gays should not be using tax dollars to promote and support a gay marriage ceremony. Its not a "teachable moment" anymore than mormons.

  • No-one made these kids go. It was a teachers wedding and the parents had to fill in consent forms for whether or not they wished their children to attend.

At the end of the day it is the parents decision and this incident has been distorted and manipulated by the Yes on 8 campaign to create fear amongst the masses. Selective editing and fearmongering have been used throughout. There is nothing wrong with teaching children to be tolerant of all walks of life

  • teachable moment

    neutral point of view

disrupting a community to proove a point

    sounds similar?

    WIKIPEDIA language abuse.

  • that is soo inappropriate. Worst of all parents will now GO TO JAIL if they dont want their kids to be a part of it!

  • I believe that gays should be able to marry but I don't think they should have made these kids go to any wedding even a straight one I mean that's not educational.

  • sounds to me like it's their teacher who got married... whats the problem with kids going to their teachers wedding? and yeah if the parents didn't want them there they can sign the opt out form, schools don't just grab kids and throw them on a bus taking them to random things at city hall without informing the parents

  • "whats the problem with kids going to their teachers wedding? "

Since when did kids in school on the taxpayer dollar EVER go to weddings? I know, since gay activists set one up and actually DID what everyone was saying they would do even before it was legalized. Good thing it wasn't legalized or we would have to put up with hundreds of emboldened PEREZ HILTONS in California alone, pushing and shoving their agendas down our throats. The Miss USA situation he caused is a good example of that.

  • Does it say that it was done during school hours or with school funding or are you just implying that?

  • The school's interim director Liz Jaroflow defended the field trip to a homosexual wedding as academically justifiable.

"It really is what we call a teachable moment," she told the Chronicle. "I think I'm well within the parameters."

Jaroflow also told the Chronicle that despite the potential objections of some the decision was not controversial for her, and that "it's certainly an issue I would be willing to put my job on the line for."

  • This shows that homosexual marriages are designed not just to gain public approval of the homosexual lifestyle, but designed to indoctrinate children to be better than their bigoted elders, Randy Thomasson said.

Get them while theyre young is the goal of homosexual activists, and theyre succeeding in San Francisco, he added. Now parents and grandparents have a vivid example from San Francisco of how children are already being indoctrinated to support homosexual marriage..."

  • "...I really hope that all the children in the world and the future generations understand and see HOW BEAUTIFUL LOVE IS."

  • Theres this thing called a permission slip. The children's parents signed it. That means that the children there had permission to be there. As public funding is concerned, you don't know how those kids got to the wedding. It may not have been on a school day.

The music a jarring and the video is of poor quality. Take this crap off the internet.

  • You dress in drag, were you born that way? Is that genetic too, or is it a choice? I'm thinking you're thinking the former...

Permission slip or no, it is a publicly funded CHARTER SCHOOL and those kids were on a field trip to a lesbian ceremony. The parents were all lesbians too, so what's the surprise there? Some parents did not consent to this, so it was NEWS, but probably for the wrong propaganda reasons.

The parents all knew this. They saw all the cameras.

    The music is hot.

  • Aww, that's so cute! They must all really love their teacher; she must be a good one. It seemed like they were having fun, it was safe, tasteful, sweet,....

Oh wait, that was supposed to go for yes? Oh, sorry, I forgot that a happy and loving couple joining in matrimony, playing and giggling children, and flower petals were gonna break down the fabric of our society.

She just used the history excuse because she really loves her class and wanted them to be there on her special day!

  • This is just shameful. Children won't turn homosexual due to mere exposure. That's just an exaggerated lie and people are too proud of disallowing freedoms and rights to admit that the logic doesn't flow in their arguments.

A homosexual teenager goes to a heterosexual wedding. Will he instantly turn straight? He goes to school with heterosexuals and sees straight PDA on a daily basis. Will he instantly turn straight? No.

The protecting children argument is very flawed.

  • "Children won't turn homosexual due to mere exposure."

Of course they won't, just like if you show a kid pornography they won't ever look at it again, or if they take a drug, it won't entice. The fact is, we lead our kids in a direction and there are choices in life.

Many of us are leading our kids in a direction where homosexuality is not being presented to them as a good choice, but an immoral one, a sin, one that does not lead to a normal family, etc. Many don't think it is good at all.

  • there was nothing about the students being there as participating in a "field trip". I have never heard of tax payer's money being used to fund transportation to a teacher's wedding in my life.

quit twisting the truth to support your arguments.

  • Twisting the truth?

The video is there for you to plainly see. It was a fully documented event in the newspapers at the time. I know you lived in Florida, but you could do some better research to see that nobody is twisting the truth as they point out the painfully obvious: TAX PAYER DOLLARS ARE USED FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THEIR FIELD TRIPS.

The School Administrator said it was well within her limits to authorize this stuff.

    You need to read first.

  • so what? First off, in CA school parents have the option wheather their children participate or not. So all those children that attended were ALLOWED BY THEIR PARENTS. Secondly, it was in SF. I wonder how many of those children have same sex parents. As the school admin stated "it was a teachable moment". I agree with them. Love makes a family not genitalia.

  • So what??

That's the HEART of the problem, and why this video footage contributed to the passing of PROP 8 because it reveals the glee that gays and lesbians have of propagandizing the kids and California into making this mainstream. They wanted the film. They wanted the propaganda.

When it didn't work, like Gavin's "whether you like it or not!" didn't work, they then wanted to back track.

But those hypocrite parents were there when all the TV cameras were rolling. They said nothing then.

  • Don't you feel any shame for using other people children's images to advance your ideology? Why don't you tell people that those children seen in this video were ALLOWED to attend by their parents. check out what THOSE parents said about this video at Parents Demand Prop 8 ad Taken Down. The lies and deceit you use will be uncovered and exposed.

  • "Don't you feel any shame for using other people children's images to advance your ideology?"

Maybe if I actually took the video footage!

This was news, and this is a fair use documentary of the events of that week, and my commentary.

  • So your answer is no then.... wow. How sad.

Why don't you tell that to the people who's children were in that video. I think they would strongly disagree.

  • "Why don't you tell that to the people who's children were in that video."

You are failing to realize that those parents KNEW that the news cameras were all around them!! They were there on the steps with their kids as the camera men paced around with shots on the stairs, shots inside with Gavin, all kinds of shots. There were probably multiple camera men taking all of these broadcast videos with the HUGE 50 pound cameras and battery packs.

No, they KNEW. They wanted it.

    It backfired.

  • "Sorry mormonanswerman, but those words that you say are not used against us here are used against us everyday -- starting as early as on the playground. I learned the word faggot when I was in 4th grade "

I am against bullying, name-calling, all that. had my share of it all as a white kid in a minority Oakland school. I know.

But this is MARRIAGE, not rights. This is biblical before it was anything else that people are trying to make of it. Its moral to us.

  • This is the kind of dastardly, underhanded dealings that causes me to have no respect for the gay agenda whatsoever. The only other groups that attempted to indoctrinate other people's children with their own ideology is Muslims and its dispicable in both cases. Its exploitation of children and child abuse and they should be prosecuted.

  • what about christians, jews, hindu etc. see you are full of it one thing almost takes out the other, i dont agree with this field trip gay marriage, i wouldnt want my nephews to think thats the norm, let them grow up form their own opinions, but to bring someones religion=group worship, religion often has nothing to do with spirituality mostly bais racist crap to hold people back from standing up for their human rights by any means necessary

  • I would resign if teachers in this state were ever made to teach about homosexuality.

  • Mormananswerman...I'm glad you put this up and respond to each comment rationally and without any hate speech. I think it was the hate speech of the "No" side that put Yes over the top. The automatic replies from the No side of slurs like "bigot", "homophobe", "teachers of hate". "nazis" , and several several others really show the true character of the opponents of this prop.

Even election night coverage really showed the difference between Yes on 8 side vs. the No on 8 side.

  • Those children had permission from their parents to be there, and in fact, a few children from that class didn't go because their parents refused to give them permission. This is exploitation of children, and Prop 8 is marketed as a pro-children movement. Don't you think this kind of dirty political advertising is not in the spirit of the beliefs of those foudning the proposition?

  • "This is exploitation of children, and Prop 8 is marketed as a pro-children movement. "

are you refusing to understand that the parents are the ones who made the decision to expose their children to the public on this, that they KNEW there were cameras present, that the SFGATE reporters were doing a story?? Are you doing to forget that those parents CHOSE to place their families in the line of public discussion with video and photos.

Fair Use. The parents did this, not some papparazzi.

  • Exploiting children to promote hate in any situation is not fair use. If there were images of mormon children being used to promote same sex marriage, you'd likely attack it with fury. This is the exact same situation. The parents weren't the sensationalists. They didn't make the ads. You did.

  • "If there were images of mormon children being used to promote same sex marriage, you'd likely attack it with fury. This is the exact same situation. The parents weren't the sensationalists. They didn't make the ads. You did. "

No, I found this video on SFGATE. It was public. The fact that I showed it, is that the problem? Should I have not mentioned what SFGATE was doing? Should I have kept it a secret? Should I have been shocked at SFGATE for running the video?

  • Of course not. I was shocked, but you're not required to be. I'm the type ofperson who doesn't believe in making decisions about what other people should do in their lives, whether it's have their own opinions, post exploitative videos of children, or get married.

  • These kids got to see two people commit to each other. What's more they had their parent's permission. Most of them will grow up heterosexual of course, and they will have learned to treat people who are different with love and respect. To me your video is a beautiful example of why we should vote NO on prop 8. Thanks!

  • "Most of them will grow up heterosexual of course"

you can not possibly know that. no one can know what a kid will become. most kids are influenced in a HUGE way by their parents. But parents deal with influences outside the home on just how their kids develop.

you are going to say "they were born gay, or not" but I don't agree. Little kids are totally into their gender. Boys break things, and girls pose. But they are all cute and perfect. We can learn a LOT from young kids.

  • This video made me so scared..scared of where are country is going. What happened to the foundation of our country? What happened to our morals? What are we promoting here? Yes - I understand that the parent's of the children signed permission slips. What is wrong with these parents? God help our country.

  • Maybe it's not what's wrong with them. Has it ever even occurred to you for a second that it may be what's wrong with you?

  • "Maybe it's not what's wrong with them. Has it ever even occurred to you for a second that it may be what's wrong with you? "

yes, this thought always crosses the mind of the deep thinker, and then we give way to our moorings to stabilize drifting thought... moorings that have been established through an acceptance of truth over time. The moorings of morals. Morals that have produced fruit when followed.

Its not a blind faith to accept and embrace certain morals. They do bring happiness.

  • I really can't comprehend why you feel so threatened by the possibility of two people who love each other getting married with the only extenuating factor being that they are gay. Allowing them to marry will not affect heterosexual marriage in the least, nor will it affect children. I've gone to catholic school and public school and in neither circumstance was of any kind marriage a topic. This proposition passing would be an embarrassment for our state and only fuel the remaining discrimination

  • "This proposition passing would be an embarrassment for our state and only fuel the remaining discrimination"

your semantics doesn't change the truth that there is no discrimination in Prop 8. Its about long-standing definition being protected, preserved.

It's like trying to protect the GRAND CANYON or YOSEMITE from getting developed into a rock quarry. Its about love and protecting that which people have come to love for millenia.

  • Love can still exist in same-sex couples and you have no evidence to argue against that, and I know it as a fact.

  • "Love can still exist in same-sex couples and you have no evidence to argue against that, and I know it as a fact. "

I do not doubt that there is love, but the whole point of this is marriage. What is marriage? Who and what is it for? It is for a man and a woman, why can't the gays and lesbians understand that? They decided to act on their sexual preferences and now want it to be the same kind of thing (because there is love) as what marriage is about. Well, its different. Civil Unions.

  • You should not use pictures of children you don't know to make your own political point. I suggest you take this down or put a different picture as a background. These kids are being used to promote anti-gay-marriage and they don't even know that.

  • "You should not use pictures of children you don't know to make your own political point."

the very people who mock the idea that marriage is about children, or that a child is entitled to a father and a mother, or that its all about love, not the kids, and even that the world is over-populated....

...are now concerned about the kids?

  • We don't mock the idea, we refute it. Plenty of heterosexuals marry for love, not for children. The law does not state you have to have children once you marry, so this is a completely moot point and a distortion, just like this video. And we can't be concerned about kids exploited by the Yes campaign which, again like this video, used the images of these kids without their parents consent? If you're going to second-guess everyone's motives, perhaps you should look at your own: fear gone amuck.

  • "Plenty of heterosexuals marry for love, not for children. The law does not state you have to have children once you marry, "

Of course the law doesn't impose that detail, but the fact remains, a very very few individuals indeed get married and choose, for the endurance of their marriage, to not have kids. Sure some do for a while, and then you get even movie stars who for years (decade of saying no?) didn't want any, but now do, and they have plumbing to make it possible... Its about kids.

  • Notice it's a charter school, that's completely different than your normal public school, a parent is the one that had the idea, and parents were aloud to take their children out, it was their teacher getting married, there's been instances where students go to heterosexual peoples weddings.

  • "Notice it's a charter school, that's completely different than your normal public school"

A charter school is a public school, with the same public funds. Its just a different type of public school, like elementary schools are different from high schools, but they are still public schools with rules, grading, and accountability.

  • i'm not an idiot i attend a charter school, and i can tell you they are a lot different than normal schools.

  • That's what I said. The common denominator is that it is a PUBLIC school.

  • Regardless, state funds pay for the charter school. I can see where California is heading if we continue to allow this! "Whether you like it or not!"

    CALIFORNIA, VOTE YES ON 8!!!

  • Definitely made the issue crystal clear - Protect our kids. Protect Marriage. Be grateful to God for this opportunity to vote in this great nation. Vote Yes on Prop 8.

  • haaaaa fuck this. i'm a 19 year old college student...if proposition 8 passes then it will be my generation that will be down in history for representing the first time in american history where the youth of our country is completely tolerant of gays and gay marriage. fuck all you old people and your stupid religious morals...this world is going to change with or without you so just shut up and accept those who accept you.

  • Angry young man . . .

    VOTE YES ON 8 California

  • vote HELL NO on prop 8

you fall in love with the person NOT the gender..... baka

  • "you fall in love with the person NOT the gender"

    what's a gender for?

We've all learned that opposites attract. magnets illustrate it. molecules seem to get it with the electrons attracted to the protons. I've never seen two electrons come together and stick. yet the gays want us to believe this is normal.

  • Since when sub-atomic particles parallel in properties to humans? Last time I checked, humans are conscious and don't naturally orbit anything.

  • "Last time I checked, humans are conscious and don't naturally orbit anything. "

not to argue, but we are on a planet right now that is orbiting a sun, and all of this ought to give us pause as to the natural order of things. Who is in charge of all this, who set the planets in motion, in order, why do they orbit, and how come all conditions are perfect to allow life, but on Mercury, nothing, on Mars, nothing, but earth is "just right." How could it be random? How could it be so...

  • No one needs to be in order of things. There is no credible evidence whatsoever of there needing to be and especially of there being someone "in charge of all this." Your argument is fallacious: just because something is unlikely to happen, doesn't mean it's not what is what happened. And it works the same way for your beliefs: How could a being so powerful exist to the point where it never didn't exist? That's a little more far-fetched, just saying.

  • are you comparing people to magnets?besides,u may not no this, but not all people are the same(gasp!).maybe opposites for u, but who said it's the same for evry1. im not gay, but im just sayin

  • If women were made to be with women then certain parts would "fit" together naturally as a man and women do. Have you ever seen a lesbian able to naturally have a child by another lesbian? No. It would take a doctor involved to use a MAN's given ability to create a child. This should logically explain why this is just not normal or morally correct.

  • "this world is going to change with or without you so just shut up and accept those who accept you"

I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • "this world is going to change with or without you so just shut up and accept "

This is BORG talk. You will be assimilated.

Fortunately, we do have hope in the democratic processes.

  • 7% which sums of the total population of the gay community in the country are going to make changes for everyone else? I dont think so. Flush yourself down the crapper, your not going to take everyone else with you.. People have morals and they will hold to them. If you dont then your a sad individual. If you mock and ridicule everyone that doesnt agree with you or homosexuality then maybe you should watch your back, because people wont put up with your crap for long. step in line!

  • OMG! WE ARE VOTING YES ON PROP 8!!

  • Sad Sad. I don't care if it was for a gay wedding or not, keep my kids in school to learn, let them go to a wedding on their own time. Imagine if a kid got kidnapped or hit by a car during this event when they SHOULD have been in school. So sad. keep my kids in school when I expect them to be. VOTE YES ON PROP 8

  • im not saying this will happen, but I can almost see some gays kidnapping children all because they cant have any of there own. but then again kids arent really the reason they want to change marriage is it?

  • Here's a bit of fact-checking on that field trip some San Francisco first-graders took to see their lesbian teacher married. ... the field trip was organized by a volunteer parent who wanted to surprise the teacher. (Yes, she was surprised.) Even though it was organized by a parent, permission slips were required. No children were forced to attend the wedding, in fact, at least two children remained at the school.

  • "No children were forced to attend the wedding, in fact, at least two children remained at the school."

yes, we are aware of that, but the fact is, this was a public school FIELD TRIP and attendance at a lesbian wedding is over the political top. It shows that you guys think its OK.

    Its not OK.

That's the problem. Where it goes from here. Have you heard about the HAYWARD SCHOOL fiasco for Kindergarteners there? It just keeps on going, and this, all before the election!!!

  • "you sound just like Osama Bin Laden and his people. Wow!"

you are comparing a PROP 8 yard sign to the Twin Towers plane crashes?

You have some serious perspective issues.

  • You idiots. Every kid at that ceremony had parental permission to be there, and those parents who did not want their children to attend simply did not send them on the field trip. That's the beauty of opt-out laws.

In fact, the Yes on 8 campaign has used images of that field trip in their fundraising efforts - WITHOUT getting permission from the parents to use their childrens' images! Talk about denying parental control!

  • "In fact, the Yes on 8 campaign has used images of that field trip in their fundraising efforts - WITHOUT getting permission from the parents to use their childrens' images!"

have you EVER heard of "fair use" laws in educating people? Those people were standing in a public place, and those images are fair use. is this the best you can come up with?

  • haha you are the biggest hypocrite ever, mormanliarman. pick a real battle to fight dude.

  • The teacher and the administrator who allowed this trip should have been arrested and jailed.

  • A group of San Francisco first-graders took an unusual field trip to City Hall on Friday to toss rose petals on their just-married lesbian teacher - putting the public school children at the center of a fierce election battle over the fate of same-sex marriage.

    Images

Six-year-old twins Nolan (left) and Ben Alexander wait wi...Erin Carder's first-grade class from Creative Arts Charte...Mayor Gavin Newsom marries first-grade teacher Erin Carde.

  • Nonetheless, the excursion offers Proposition 8 proponents fresh ammunition for their efforts to outlaw gay marriage in California, offering a real-life incident that echoes their recent television and radio ads.

"It's just utterly unreasonable that a public school field trip would be to a same-sex wedding," said Chip White, press secretary for the Yes on 8 campaign. "This is overt indoctrination of children who are too young to have an understanding of its purpose."

  • The trip illustrates the message promoted by the campaign in recent days, namely that unless Prop. 8 passes on Nov. 4, children will learn about same-sex marriage in school.

"It shows that not only can it happen, but it has already happened," White said.

  • The two said they have participated in the campaign against Proposition 8 and planned to travel around San Francisco on Friday afternoon in a motorized trolley car with "Just Married" and "Vote No on 8" banners.

The two met on a dance floor two years ago.

  • Did they forget that these children have parents? Children in public schools are NOT wards of the state. They have parents. Protect our parental rights concerning traditional morals and values and vote YES ON PROP. 8!

  • Nobody 'forgot' anything. Their parents signed a form; remember those little pink slips you had to get your mom to sign when you wanted to go to the zoo? And when those parents found out that the Yes on 8 campaign was exploiting the footage of their children, they were outraged and requested that the ad be discontinued. I'm not saying this field trip was an excellent idea, but their parents had EVERY right as defined by California constitution to remove their children from this activity.

  • "And when those parents found out that the Yes on 8 campaign was exploiting the footage of their children, they were outraged and requested that the ad be discontinued. I'm not saying this field trip was an excellent idea, but their parents had EVERY right as defined by California constitution to remove their children from this activity."

That's rich. Outraged at being "outed" and everyone can see how our school funds are being expended.

  • and besides that point, you say all the parents have a "right" to keep kids from a controversial activity, or even an immoral one, because that was... this is disenfranchisement. Creating activities funded by the public, where some kids are not going to be able to go on matters of principle or religious reasons. That's disenfranchisement, and the fact that you had to be told this is instructive as to how insensitive the no on prop 8 crowd is to fairness and "equal rights for all!" yeah right.

  • I hope you keep that same attitude when your child's Christmas celebrations get banned in your child's school, because, believe it or not, not everyone is a fanatical right-winged Christian nut job.

  • "believe it or not, not everyone is a fanatical right-winged Christian nut job."

Did we call you a name? Did we call you five names? How would you feel if labels were made to be the ISSUE? How would you react if names like faggot, dyke, fudge packer, sissy, fairy, ad nauseum, were thrown our in disgust towards you?

How come hate only flows one way here? Why the tyranny of tolerance? How come gays and lesbians are resorting to hate to make their points? Why all the animosity and disdain?

  • Sorry mormonanswerman, but those words that you say are not used against us here are used against us everyday -- starting as early as on the playground. I learned the word faggot when I was in 4th grade in Oklahoma in 1976! Times have changed and they should change. Hate doesn't flow only one way. You may not use the key words, but you are definitely levying persecution against fellow human beings. You are not a live-and-let-live kind of guy: it's apparent in your own disdain. Rock quarry? Rude.

  • Not such a great idea for a field trip. :(

  • A consequences of not passing Prop 8 will be its effects on public schools. Opponents of Prop 8 claim that it is about equality and civil rights and not about education and parents' rights. If that is true, then why is the CTA donating $1.25 million to No on Prop 8? Why is a teacher taking her class to her lesbian wedding? Why is an elementary school in Hayward celebrating Gay and Lesbian week? If you are on the fence, think about the agenda that will be pushed on our kids if Prop 8 fails!

  • Nice job! What a stunt, huh? They can't wait to cram down our throughts their interpretation of "love." I think class time would be better served if they had another math quiz or something. No wonder America comes in last in school performence and California the worst offender when compared to the rest of the industrialized world.

  • WHY do gays always compare their situation with the blacks and slavery? Makes NO sense.

The blacks HAD freedom in Africa before they were stolen away and their freedom was stolen.

    The gays?

They never had marriage, and it certainly was not taken away. They are trying to change things. History is not on their side, like it WAS for the blacks!

  • That principal should be fired!

  • On what planet do children attend weddings during school hours? Planet San Francisco. Our state is the laughing stock of the nation for our poor performance, so let's make sure the kids have lots of fun at a wedding? I was born in San Francisco, but my parents were wise enough to make sure I never went to school there!

  • the only problem I see here is involving your students in your ceremony. I don't know any first graders invited to any wedding, gay, straight, interracial or whathaveyou when their teacher is the one getting married. If their parents knew of this field trip and authorized the kids to go then I guess its ok. It just seems too political off the top to have your students at your wedding.

  • Don't you all know that legally schools have to ask permission of parents before taking them anywhere outside of school grounds. Parents have to sign a paper saying it is ok. Do you really think these children were learning something the parents didnt want them to know?? You dont think those parents gave permission before they were taken to this wedding? In fact those adults behind the children are probably their parents!!

  • VOTE YES ON 8!!!!!!

    Protect Marriage

  • Hmmmm children seeing adults making life long commitments to care for each other! Shocking, shocking, shocking!

  • I've seen official national statistics that say F/F marraiges are 167% more likely to fail than a M/F marriage. So much for life long commitments. . .

  • "I've seen official national statistics that say F/F marraiges are 167% more likely to fail than a M/F marriage. "

Z8nate, can you give a source for that?

  • And so allowing homosexuals the right to a union (I won't call it marriage) won't have any affect on the public school system? I beg to differ.

  • OMG kids having a gr8 day... We cant have that. Especialy when it envolves a person who clearly has an inpackt on them.

  • you need to be up in the school with them learning how to spell. Gay mairrage is wrong. If its such a great thing, then name me one civilization of people that embraces homosexuality? Name me one benefit they have on society?

  • your not "born gay". there is no scientific proof that there's a "gay chromosome" or anything like that

  • The California Teachers Association (CTA) just gave $1,000,000 to the NO on Prop 8 campaign. These are californias teachers! What's up with that?

Either we need higher caliber teachers, or parents need to go to a lot more PTA meetings. That's part of the problem, there seems to be a infiltration of gay and lesbian sentiment into our school system. By design?

  • the end is near

  • Now I know why they call CA the land of fruits and nuts. Is it really so difficult to be normal out there? Gee whiz, using first graders to promote a minority agenda is really stooping. Very, very low.

  • No u just need a privat scool for narowminded peoples children NPC (in game world a non playing carekter)

  • "No u just need a privat scool for narowminded peoples children NPC (in game world a non playing carekter)"

not to be nit-picky, but spelling like that disqualifies one to speak out on what is or is not needed for schooling, etc. Spelling like that requires much more school, and preferably not in a school where field trips are taken to lesbian weddings...

  • My question to you all, who bring children into the picture as a means to vote yes on prop 8, is this. What is so wrong about teaching children to accept homosexuals? What is really so unnatural about the union of two human beings, simply because of their sexual preference? I don't think that there is anything unnatural about it, since there are straight people who do even more outrageous things such as practice particular fetishes. How is homosexuality so wrong it is to be on par with these?

  • "simply because of their sexual preference?"

you guys keep giving yourselves away. If something is a preference, it is a CHOICE. If a choice, what is all the fuss about rights like you are born that way. It is because you are not born that way, it is learned, it is a choice, and it is morally bankrupt. We shouldn't be teaching kids about sexual preferences!!! especially at school.

  • uhhh, no. a preference is not a choice. if you prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate ice cream, then you can never choose to like chocolate ice cream more. it's just the way you are.

  • "if you prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate ice cream, then you can never choose to like chocolate ice cream more."

what? maybe if you are two years old.

I prefer choco malt, but if someone offers me vanilla or strawberry I am going to love it. I am going to CHOOSE it.

  • Yes, this is so ridiculous. Its not fair to use a child to make a statement. ofcourse, the kids will say whatever the gay couples want to hear, because they dont want to offend their teachers! Leave the kids alone! Vote YES!

  • Comment removed

  • "apparently the "Yes" side doesn't seem to follow this philosophy very well."

was it a tax-payer funded school field trip?

  • I would never flaunt my own intimate personal private beliefs in such a manner, this is not right to have my tax dollars paying for this! And to even show it in a church. What happened to the separation of church and the state not to mention keeping what is personal just that? This flies in the face of everything and they want to make this the norm for what young children are exposed to in a public school environment!?

  • Thanks for posting this video. Undeniable evidence that it can and will... and oh, yes, it HAS happened in California. Yes on 8!

  • The kids' parent's DID sign permission slips.

  • Thanks for the video! The hell with using my tax dollars to support gay marriages like this, kids should be learning more important stuff rather than that it's OK to be a fudge packer!

  • Funny comment! Thank you.

    2 quick things:

    1. The kids that went, went on their parent's tax dollars.

    2. lesbians are not commonly referred to as "Fudge Packers".

Should you be allowed to decided what your children learn? Then so should everyone.

  • Were there permission slips, or was this done as part of the school history class? In other words, did the parents have a choice? What we're seeing is that the wishes of the minorities are forced upon the majority of the population...and this isn't just the homosexual community, either. I believe that everyone should have the same Constitutiional rights, including homosexuals, but don't shove your lifestyle in my face! Of course, I wouldn't raise my child in San Francisco, either...

  • oh my gosh! This is an outrage. I'm afraid to have kids. I don't want them learning in a perverted environment like this.

  • it is ok teach them the word i do not know if you are christian the only way is to go to christian school i love christian schools it is fun

  • I had some VOTE YES ON PROP 8 bumper stickers on my car.

STOLEN! from my professional office space parking lot.

How desperate can that other side get?

VOTE YES ON PROP 8 signs on my front yard...

STOLEN! by a neighbor. How desperate, to steal political statements...

    Good thing I've got spares.

  • you have got to be kidding me. parents, time to find your kids a new school.

  • Most interesting, "I hope all the children in the world see and understand how love is."

As if stating, the only way a child can "truly" know what love is is by seeing a gay couple be married.

Like I am sure these kids never ever felt, understood, and saw what love was in their families at home.

This is really sad that this teacher felt this was in the parameter's. And we are supposed to be an educated nation?

  • I think that phrase doesnt mean what you say AT ALL. It means that love can be found anywhere where two people are commited to each other, no matter their gender. BTW, do you see the children having a bad time? Suffering? Crying? OF COURSE NOT! Im sure they had a blast!

  • Little children are innocent and rely on adults to teach them properly. When they don't, when adults destroy faith in Christ by teaching them incorrect principles, they offend the process... Little children believe in Christ as a default. They all do. But adults can ruin that.

Matt. 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

  • Little children believe in Christ as a default.

    No they don't.

How can a child beleive in Christ if their parents don't teach them about Christ?

What if they've never heard of him?

  • "How can a child beleive in Christ if their parents don't teach them about Christ?"

There is not a kid under the age of 8, innocence, who, when taught of Jesus Christ will reject Him. You try it, and you will see. When kids are innocent, they embrace the innocence and perfection of their Savior. Its true, and has been my experience that talking of the Savior to a group little ones, and I have done it many times, is one of the easiest and most rewarding things to do. They believe.

  • Ummm, children will believe almost anything that an adult they trust tells them. That does not in any way prove that they believe in Jesus as a "default." Human beings aren't born with any "default" beliefs, they are taught what to believe by those around them.

  • "Ummm, children will believe almost anything that an adult they trust tells them. "

Children do believe, but they don't believe anything and they do know right from wrong. If you show a little one bad horrible things, they will suffer. If you show them Jesus they will be happy. They don't embrace everything, but they will embrace Jesus. They ALL do. They sense it. They know, because they are what the Kingdom of Heaven is all about.

Teach them right. Teach them well. Don't deceive them.

  • Matt 7:1

  • I was shocked when I read about this. Look goes on in Massachusetts: v=Gkv6miGIcTU

  • That was a real sad story where this good christian man gets arrested for "trespassing" at his school when talking to administrators who wouldn't listen to his pleas to please notify him before they try to indoctrinate his 5 year old with gay marriage propsganda. They denied him, arrested him, and it makes home school look pretty good.

But we can NOT be intimidated.

  • but wait, home school was made illegal earlier this year, then in August overturned, but it is not a solid secure option anyway. We just need to get involved!

  • I think its sad that people like you do not know about the whole issue and make statements about it. The kids were not "indorctrinated" with "gay marriage propaganda." They were being taught an aspect of life, that gay people EXIST and in the state of MA they can marry too.

  • "They were being taught an aspect of life, that gay people EXIST"

"existing" can't be the criteria for teaching 1st graders about something. Prostitutes exist, should schools schedule a field trip to a red light district?

Murderers exist, should 1st graders visit a prison to talk with Charles Manson to get his insight on anything?

Should 1st graders ride in a police car to see how terrible crimes are in the City?

The problem is, You have no scruples or sensitivity to children. From MA huh?

  • prop 8 must pass!

  • If proposition 8 does not pass, this little history lesson will become the norm with public schools teaching our kids that same sex marriage is a perfectly normal and acceptable part of society.

Let us protect the virtue of marriage by voting yes to Proposition 8. Thank you for posting this video. I always appreciate your insight.

  • If it had been the first Black Man casting a vote would that have been something for the children to see? Was that historic?

  • "If it had been the first Black Man casting a vote would that have been something for the children to see?"

I think the difference is, one is a civil rights issue (the Blacks) and the other is just a MORAL issue: sex outside marriage.

  • I think it says something when one woman wore the dress and the other wore a pant suit. Pant suits are masculine. I just find that a little interesting.

  • me too

  • "one woman wore the dress and the other wore a pant suit."

that is the core of the problem I have, that is saying that

    man + woman = woman + woman

which offends me as a logical thinker and as someone that wants what is best for families.

  • PS. How can an inanimate object like a "Pants Suit" be masculine? Isn't that what we read into it, since it has no gender. If the woman wearing the "Pants Suit" is very "sexy" would that make it more womanly to you? Be careful of subjectivism. You become it's subject.

  • I think it says that Women can wear whatever they want because this is America. Should our laws extend to fashion as well? How much of our freedom will you give up? These Women are you. They are Americans. All Americans should have the same rights,no? Are not all people created equal? If not then who decides which is which and who enforces the law? It's your right to disagree with it or hate it but if it's Constitutional then we must support it or we risk losing our own rights.
