@Luckushka Carly and JJ are Barney's half brother and sister. They are Jerry's kids with his new family. Carly meets the criteria of Ted's wife. She is a college student, she obviously would be at Barney's wedding which is where Ted meets his wife. My prediction is that Ted will walk her down the aisle at the reception and that is how they will meet.

The woman who Ted bumps into here is not the mother since as I am sure you all remember Ted said he did not meet the mother at that party and since he interacted with her she can't be the Mother and also Since the story would end with and that is how I met your Mother any woman Ted Meets and interacts with can't be the mother until of course the final season accept possibly for the Slutty Pumpkin and of course Jamie Lynn Discala's Character from the Woo episode

I think that this girl was sort of a scape goat, in case they weren't signed onto any other seasons they would use her as the mother. But since they will make at least 8 seasons, they have the freedom to develop the story a lot deeper. and hence I do not think she is the mother. I think that just the fact that EVERYONE thinks that she is the mother is enough reason for the writers to not bring her back as well

Shes not her... unless she is cindys roomate and stellas friend she is because Ted implies that the sequence of events that lead to his running into Stella “changed his life forever,” further implying that these events were crucial to his meeting the mother (and that Stella is going to be a key factor in this path).

All I am saying is that it just seems to easy for the writers just to have Ted bump into a girl at a club and have that be her, then the people who religiously watch the show will know its her and stop watching it!

It is so weird cause when I first saw this episode, that small thing really got my attention. And I have seen where a few other people have thought the same thing. I really do think that she could be the mother. I am actually rooting for it to be Wendy the waitress though. But I'm not 100% sure if they've ruled that out yet.
