the reason they cut down on fireworks was becasue they were making too much smoke and couldnt see mickey so they had to make new firworks and the launchers that make less smoke.

ya they have cut down on the fireworks :O back when i saw it... it was more epic, A LOT more fireworks .. and do they still do the fire on the water part? that part is awesome xD

when its day time you can achually go on the ships(steamboat and pirate ship) that they use in that show... i went on the steamboat!!! :D

Hey, you can actually tell it's the older version...the newer versions have since cut down on the major fireworks at the end =P I wish I could go to Disneyland everyday just to see Fantasmic!

i heard from someone that you have to be under 5 feet tall and stinking skinny but i also warn you that Mickey burns up in that costume my sister read about those costumes and she said they are miserable

yeah the maximum height for mickey is like 5'1 and a lot of the ppl who play those characters are asian girls because they are really short. There's actually an alice actress at dland who is 4'9 and i have to literally crouch down to her height to take a pic with her.

mickeys height is 4'6 through 5'1. That is the height for any fur characters "fully costumed" that height goes for doald, the chipmunks, minnie mouse, mickey etc. an actor who playes sorcerer mickey is required to be 18 and older because of the costume weight and lift and harness regulations.

In disneyland its easier to se mickey go down on lift on bottom bc in WDW they have the fireworks right in front of him in WDW

Wait! Where is he standing when he leads the fireworks? I never seen Fantasmic in Disneyland so I don't know the layout.

Nevertheless, this is my favorite part, and Mickey's Fantasia costume is my favorite one he wears!

To agree with klpeekl2000, he also leaves the stage at the end when he comes as being sorcerer super fast...I saw this in 2003 AND HAD NO CLUE...that was awesome!

I think that there are things that are better in the Disneyland version and things that are better in the Disney World version. But I'm not really sure, because the one and only time I saw this show, I was around 8, and we were standing on the balcony by Walt's apartment. Or something like that. I don't remember much.

Well at MGM studios, you can almost expect somthing huge and epic going to happen at that show. With Disneylands, guests can climb on the stage and have fun on it during normal hours and would never expect that later that day a 50 foot fire breathing dragon is going to pop out of the ground.... Which makes DL's really cool!

Yeah, I agree. The view of Mickey standing on top of the mountain in the Disneyworld version makes it all the more awesome and breath-taking. But I also think that the boat they use for Disneyworld is less grand than the Mark Twain one they use for Disneyland.

actually its called tom sawyers island and quests can walk around it but now its called The pirates lair which amkes the fantasmic finale different instead of doing it on the mark twain they do it on the island but im not sure if that temporary or if its gonna be like that for good
