Really enjoyed this video. Well done, in every way! You should continue making them, as they are entertaining and insightful. I give this one a 10 out of 10 ranking.
I enjoyed watching this! It is exciting to hear successful, renowned artists talk about their passion for painting. The documentary style is accessible and low-key, with a good sense of humor. The work that resulted (on view at the Addison Gallery) is exceptional. Congratulations, guys.
"I've watched it three times! Great footage and a very talented group! Thanks for sharing. Three times! I need to get away from the computer and behind the brush."
Just want you and your buddies to know that after watching the video, I took out my paints and painted the view outside my kitchen window - for the first time ever. I know you prob can't understand that - I don't paint everyday and I rarely paint for myself. Only for my illustration work. But for 1 hour I did, and it was a breath of fresh air! Now I can't wait to do it again.
Collectors keep telling me they love this video because it shows the artists in their element, creating and commenting on the works in the Creative Convergence exhibitions. I particularly like the way the artists' passion for their work and respect for each other comes across so clearly, so honestly. It's an intriguing video for art appreciators. Thank you Jon!
loved it...but yes, more shots of the actual Cape needed. and maybe more candid stuff. otherwise, I thought this was very well done and needless to say (but saying) loved the paintings that resulted.
I hope they don't explain '18' times how they got together... How BORING!
Who cares about where they grew up or what they like to eat! Don't make this about themselves' give the viewer what he wants: knowledge on painting techniques, light, composition etc. BLUFF, BLUFF They really haven't said much that is worth paying attention to OR paying for!). You lost me for good when you showed Lipking commenting with his 'cognac glass' in hand. Thanks for keeping the cigar off cameras! Was Kearns drunk?
You set the bar pretty high with Christmas Tree Shops but you're right back
in the high life.

Most excellent!! I really enjoyed watching this video. I think there should be a group of women having a similarly good time painting en plein air.

Why thank you. It's been really well received. All that extra work I put into it seems to have paid off.

@ratsforyou Excuse me, but it isn't abou tyou. It is not about painting techniques. IT IS about them and they are talking about THEIR feelings.
