I just used the Action Reply for ONLY The Azure flute due to America not having the chance to get it. I'm not suggesting using AR. Cause that can really mess up your game. Nor is AR any fun.

I do a agree, he is naive, but not "too naive" to be god, after all, if god shaped the universe and all it's contents, then that means god is not perfect. To create something imperfect(humans). Mewtwo would still lose even if it was the anime.

Case in point, Mewtwo could only fight Mew on even footing, never gaining an advantage. Arceus, on the other hand, took on all three of the creation trio (all of whom, unlike Mewtwo, are Gods themselves) while not at full power and beat them all down with little effort.

Besides, you can't really assume like that. Like, in a tournament, if Trainer A beat Trainer B in one battle, and then Trainer D beats Trainer C, Trainers A and D go on, right? And Trainers B and C don't. So many would probably assume they were weaker than Trainers A and D. But who's to know for sure that Trainer B couldn't possibly beat Trainer D?

Also, you seem to be assuming Mew is weaker than Arceus.

First off, Arceus wouldn't be allowed in a tournament because it is too powerful. Second, you just hit it. Mewtwo is a clone, a man made thing. They assumed that he was the most powerful Pokemon because they artificially enhanced his powers, however, they were working with incomplete data. And no, they designed Mewtwo to try and be more powerful than Mew, not equal.

Of course, they didn't have much data about Mewtwo so they didn't know how powerful it was.

Also, Arceus is the God of the Pokemon Universe. That automatically makes it more powerful than any Pokemon because it created an entire universe. Mewtwo can block and reflect other Pokemon's attacks? Arceus can completely negate any attacks, before they even hit it, making it invincible if it wanted. Arceus can restore anything it destroys, while Mewtwo can only make a new things based off of an existing one.

@NemesisSP Now that you put it that way, I see how Arceus would easily win in the anime. I've actually seen very little of Arceus in action in the anime. I forgot the TV series was still going I haven't watched it in so long lol. Arceus is probably defeatable in the game though, but likely after a long, harsh battle or a super cheap trick (namely, endure then quick attack). So I think you're about… 90% to 95% correct lol.

@Kingdarkshadow Thats because you trained yours, the dread plate just changes what type Arceus is, if you were get an Arceus with a dread plate vs a Mewtwo both wild to battle each other the Arceus will destroy Mewtwo the dread plate will make Arceus immuned to physic type moves plus its judgement move will become super effective plus the stat advantage I have links for proof if you'd like to see.
