I do not have a Nintendo thingamajig. However here in central Ohia we have lots of zombies so we do not need Nintendos.

Have you ever tried.."Puffs Plus" tissues.
They work for me to keep the raw nose thing in control. Don't be afraid to write a note to; "Santa", and leave it in a space that others may read it. There are people in my family that are 80 and leave hints like that. Turning down the page in a catalogue works in my house as well.
On reading ..Sigmund & Stuff .. It's tough but get it done.

Not to be all gross re: the "chapped nostrils" thing, but if you find yourself blowing your nose alot due to allergies, after you blow, wipe with a warm washcloth...it helps alot. Oh, and there's nothing sad about buying your own X-Mas gifts, it's one of the great things about being a grown up :)
