We recently visited the Mt Tamborine (Cedar Creek Glow-worm Caves (in SE QLD ) and we have our DOUBTS in the Validity of this very short man made Cave. After viewing youtube and researching, it would be worthwhile a reporter to investigate this cave. The gardens, the construction of the cave and the wines are all amazing but the tourist attraction or lure would be the Glow-worms.

Close cousins of these glow-worms are found in abundance at Dismals Canyon, in north Alabama, United States. Its a very unusual group of flies, very closely related to the fungus gnats found in Australia and New Zealand. The insects use the light to attract tiny flying insects into a web-like substance. They are known locally as Dismalites.
