profiteers? besides their products, how are they differnt from any other company. why couldn't companies like microsoft, apple, kraft, or wal-mart be the ones controling the government? plus there are several treaties limiting the militerization of space and preventing the placement of any offencive weapons in space.
Being smart scientists, I doubt anyone is confused about our message against the militarization of space, and not the peaceful humanitarian science going on there. The war mongers and profiteers is our point and that's obvious to even the least of intellects.
I work at the broadmoor hotel, and get to see what goes on inside the space symposium. Do you realize that the people meeting there are also the minds that are in charge of expanding our knowledge of the universe through exploration and space research? These people do fascinating work that should be supported, not protested. Go protest the policy makers in D.C.- not the scientists. What you do is like protesting a mine because there's metal in guns and bullets. You're off the mark, people.
We should have these companies stop developing the latest technologies so that countries like Iran and China will have more advanced technology. Then we can live in a country where having protesters like the ones shown in the video would be imprisoned for their freedom of speech for which the technology that these companies develop help provide.
How, exactly, do you "take the profit out of war"? It seems that the need for defense is legitimate, as shown by the Nazis in WWII. So at least in some cases, force may be necessary to stop a greater evil. Given that weapons are necessary for combat and that these weapons must be created somehow, how would you propose creating these weapons in an effective way , consistent with our economic system, that does not involve profits? Will that way be as effective as the current system?

Yeah, I talked to someone about it earlier and found that out myself. Thanks for replying!

Considering The Broadmoor is private property, not public, I'm surprised they even let you on that much.
That's funny, I recognize the security guards! I work there, but never saw you all and you were never mentioned to us. Weird. Anyway, have a nice day!

Yes, the Broadmoor is private property, but the street is not and the right of way is where we do actions, so we're always on public property.

Yeah... and those bastards make sure the US has the most effective weapons systems too! Making us strategically untouchable. Damn them.
