God this brings back memories. Solano county Fairgrounds in Vallejo, 1969. Opening for Tower of Power. When Chicago hired Jim Champlin, they chose wisely. Damn! I feel old, but after this, not so much.
Go hear Champlin anytime you get a chance. What an absolute treat to go and experience this kind of soul! I was born in 59 and I remember as a kid in Florida my uncle letting me listen to him and he has been my musical hero ever since. I met him in Clearwater one night some years back and he is a super cool guy!
