  • That was awesome. thanks for sharing.

  • Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knew what type of snare or drum Michael used in Dangerous. I think he may have used it in Ghosts too.

  • Awesome man you really rock those drums, now im subbed. keep it up :D

  • datsnare

  • im confused....r u a lefty? haha

  • Fantastic cover!

  • great man!

  • that is so cool

  • Can I do this on a cajon? Help me. :)

  • Epic snare sound and tight playing!

I'm thinking of buying a microphone set that has got your mics in it (the shure dmk 6 mike set) and I was wondering, if you could give me a short review on how those shure pg mikes have been working for you... do you also use them for recording audio for an mp3 track, or mainly just to give youtube-videos a good sound?

By the way, from what I read, you don't mike the hi hat, do you?

  • @Tangakkai it's the first mic set i ever had, so i can't compare to any others. however, i am very pleased with them, considering the value for money. i don't mike the hi-hat, cause i don't have any channel left in my 8-channel m-audio usb sound card, but i fine with the result. visit my band's channel (youtube.com/animustheband), the studio covers are recorded with my mics.

  • @kostasxri Alright thanks for the Info! Just listened to your cover of reconciliation, sounds good, but the drums could be a bit louder I think... (just my opinion)... do the mics have lack of power or was it your choice in the mixing process? Thanks for your time, much appreciate it.

    Cool band btw.

  • @Tangakkai it was choice in the mixing. glad you like my band, thanks! :)

  • @kostasxri

OK so my question is can you do this cover without the actual music? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it sounds and would like to use it for choreography for a competing high school cheerleading squad, but I don't want any of the other instrumentals and though I LOVE Michael Jackson, I don't want his voice either lol

  • @kostasxri Would you mind expounding on your snare sound? I have cubase also. What effects and EQ did you do to get that 80's "POW" sound?

  • it dont need any effects to get that sound out from snare. learn to tune you snare. use different heads to find the one u like

  • also tin snare helps..

  • @Tangakkai The Way He makes his Snare sound like that is, He just Looseins the Metal Wires Under the snare. But yes it pretty cool.

  • pro

  • make the sound of your drums louder...

  • I like you better than Cobus.

  • I absolutely hate the sound of aluminum snares

  • I absolutely hate the sound of aluminum snares

  • damn your toms sound amazing dude

  • Really nice cover..only critique is to buy some moongel for that pingy snare..lol

  • really good sound and playing keep it up

  • Hey man, sounds great! Have you had to overcome any issues with your M-audio FTU 8R? I just got one and have been having problems with sparadic clicking/popping while recording. I tried increasing the buffer size, but if I do that then the audio will start skipping (it jumps ahead in the recording like a full second or so). Anyways, sounds great! Keep it up!

  • @thebigbadbeast3 in my first five videos (up till smooth criminal) i had an older pc (pentium 4 3gh 1gb ram) where i had sound clips in my recordings (e.g. Queensryche - Eyes Of A Stranger (Drum Cover) 4:54). it was caused due to cpu 100% usage (old pc), nothing to do with sound card and/or drivers. you just need a new/stronger pc for usb sound card / cubase recording. it might be the case, sorry

  • @thebigbadbeast3 MAN i had just the same probleeem! it took me a long time to figure it out. if you are using a laptop try disabling the wireless card. Same if you are with a PC, you see sometimes usb ports share i dont know what shit in the registry with wireless cards, and when you record you need full power, but some is used by the wireless card. Try that and tell if it worked out, for me it was a life saver. Good luck!

  • your're sooo increbible good!

loved from the begin to the end!

keep it up! fan of you

  • ise megalos :)

  • GREAT ;D

  • your ride SOUNDS Fkin BAD ASS :D I love it!

  • jsut loved it :D

  • Nice...!

  • why does everybody play it as ANF, what happened to traditional.

  • @GMANKOOL23 this isnt NAF?

  • how is the 16" 502 crash please reply?

  • @isk8dunks3 it has good sustain and medium to heavy pitch. the only problem is that it pretty damages your sticks easily but it's very durable and for it's money i am very pleased with it. thanks for watching!

  • Filara bravo. Ki ego drummer eimai. Eisai gamatos. Synehise na ta spas

  • So awesome and i'm pretty sure that u loved playing it too!

  • Solid... soliddddd... sollidddddd! excellent

  • awesome job dude :)

  • Please dont open hi hat on every offbeat. Its not a disco song ;)

  • Very nice, congrats! :)

  • Question...Did you pan the drumset yourself in your mix? and also, how do you hook up a digital camera for video, but get the audio mix from the fast track?

  • @kyledawg99 i use fast track to send 8 different channels into cubase where -yes- i pan each track myself, as i want. i video capture myself along with recording through mic-fast track-cubase. after playing, i eq/pan my tracks in cubase and export a stereo mix audio with my drums and the original mp3 in it (little lower in volume so you can distinguish my drums). finally, using a program like windows movie maker or adobe premier, i merge the video (muted) with the stereo export.

  • Man i love it:D:D:DD nice job and keep doing that..

can u make a cover of Beat it pls?:D

  • Really groovy, love it.

  • I wanna play drums like u do (:

  • Sounds good but by looking at your hands it doesnt look like you have a lot of confidence in your playing. Cause it looks like your not sure what to hit so you hesitate. I may be wrong but thats what I noticed. Good job though.

  • that was incredible. way to go!

  • Oh my, ur talented ^^'' I play bass/drums, i know almost all songs from mj with both of them but not beat it =)) And i know how to play crazy train and twisted sister songs too. >_<

  • @fob199 what?

  • @kostasxri oh I replied to your comment about the Hi-Hats. They sound great, what are they?

  • @fob199 they are Paiste 14" Alpha Medium Hi-Hats. everything is on video description

  • Why can this guy do something this good and only get 9,000 views, but Travis Barker makes a video of himself playing the same exact thing over and over again with no creativity like a tool to Soulja Boy and gets over 9 million views.

  • @treebobjoe thank you so much for this original comment of yours. it's maybe one of the greatest comments i've ever got. thanks you!

  • @treebobjoe Simple, Travis Barker is famous and has a fan base...this guy (no offense) is a nobody lol that would be why...

  • @treebobjoe true i like this guy more no offence to travis barker fans

  • @treebobjoe BECAUSE.... its not perfect. real drummers can hear what most tune out. case in point he starts going off about :28 misses the mark and doesn't recover till :31. As a drummer, you want to be perfect as robotic as possible, that's what separates you from every other instrument. If you want to show your interpretation for the song that's what they make mid song drum solos for. Granted you did a dam good job, but people shouldn't compare you to peeps who have put in their time.

  • @TruSunset83 That's true to an extent, robotic as possible is one thing, being a drum machine is another. Yes, we need to be able keep our time signatures near flawless, but that isn't needed as much during covers/remixes, as we are playing to backing tracks which obviously don't need us to keep flawless time for them.

  • @morgussa I enjoyed it 5 months ago and I still enjoyed it today... perfect or not... not having to be perfect gives you room to have fun... I agree...

  • i wanna learn how to play this on the drums

  • its videos like this that make me want to learn how to play the drums

  • your sick man i like it !!

  • nice!

should have faded the video with the music, that would been cool :)

  • Great cover dude, very smooth, love the fill ins and improv, nice work :]

  • HOLY SHIT. YOUR AMAZING.

  • Your Freakin Good So Clean Man

  • nice playing dude. i have a fast track ultra 8r too, it's always cool to see what kind of sound other people get out of it. You should try cloning your snare track and leaving one dry, and the second snare with a reverb effect but mute the dry mix so only the reverb effect is heard. it's gunna give you a big snare sound without pushing it back in the mix. I hope that made sense haha. anyways, awesome cover!

  • great playing and recording, very clean :)

  • Great song and drumcover

    What splash do you use??

  • @vinc10000 thanks for watching and your comment!

i use Paiste 10" Alpha Splash
