Iran is all about puffing its chest up but most of the world knows it wouldn't last anything serious with any US backed non-Arab country, let alone the US. Having an air force made of Soviet, US, Iranian and Pakistani jets is hard to coordinate let alone maintain. They are creative and improvisational (they have to be with all these sanctions constricting their abilities) but that's not going to win a battle against a coordinated, sophisticated air force.

Sorry...not buying it. Outdated Russian hardware is all fine and good, but i have serious doubts about the capability of Iran to hold off the Israelis for more than a few days...enough time for Iranian leadership to hide. 1. Iranian Navy don't have the anti-cruise missile defense. Volley of cruise missiles will be launched by the US to take down important communication centers and high value targets
2. Strategic stealth bombers B2 can destroy pretty much everything even before being detected.
3. Iranian Air force is no match for USAF with F22 stealth, F 35 stealth, F15s and F16s with AESA radars and BVR in excess of 180 km.
4. All this will happen way before first US marine sets his foot on Iranian soil.
