Chicago's plan for the Olympics is beautiful, but I'm glad that Rio de Janeiro won the bid to host the 2016 Olympics. Im from U.S. but i favor Rio over Chicago, because its not fair that every decade, the U.S. has to host the Olympics since the 60's.

1976 Denver (but withdrew and awarded to Innsbruck)

1980 Lake Placid

1984 Los Angeles

1996 Atlanta

2002 Salt Lake City

2016 Chicago??? 1904 was awarded to Chicago but was moved to St. Louis

I live in the inner city in chicago. I can say i would much rather live on the west side of chicago than in the atlanta ghetto were a family memeber lives. Living conditions are much better and gang violence is much less of a factor here. You don't know shit until you have experienced it 1st hand

Even with this great ideas and infrastructure plan, Rio will win because there were no other cities from South America that ever hosted the olympics. United States hosted the summer Olympics multiple times. St. Louis, Los Angeles , and Atlanta. Majority of the judges are European (hint, hint). They are doing the Chicago tax payers a great favor. I would prefer to spend the tax payers money to continue train our great athletes and dominate the Olympics as Americans normally do.
