  • Are these exercises good just for hockey or also for figure skating? I mean... i'm a beginner, i'm learning the basic skills of skating...can i practice this without the stick or is it necessary for the balance... does the position change without the stick? Thank you!

  • @zazzolina These are good for all skaters, hockey as well as figure. No, the stick isn't necessary for balance. Just remember to keep the 3 elements for your balance in line with each other: Nose directly over the Knee directly over the Toe of the weighted skate.

  • @8fox261 thank you for your answer... technically are these cross rolls? i think i've learned something similar ... bye! :D

  • I love this dude.

  • I wish I could do this.. no real chance to practice it. Cant do it during public skating, too many kids everywhere. Certainly won't ever have empty ice like this..

  • great tutorial. for some reason i am a pretty good skater but i have a huge problem with my outside edges, i cant get balance on them.

  • how do you sharp your blades? Flat or with this little groove in the middle of the blade?

  • @szyldek wtf? Are you new to hockey? lol

  • @bsdaemon666 what is your problem? would I ask if I knew? and yes, I am new to hockey

  • @szyldek lol.

  • listen from 0:33, is it raining? LOLLL

  • CAn you do a video on pivoting from forwards to backwards and also from backwards to forwards?

    Thanks

  • yea i figuered hes to good a skater to fall during drills like this

  • have u had any bloopers doin these vids like tryin to do this and fallin on ur ass

  • @MrNjdevilsfan30 no bloopers as far as falling on his ass :-) but some bloopers with shots, since he will try to aim at the post for a ding and miss it.

  • thank you very much, it was really helpful.

I was wondering can u post video for how to stoping? I always struggle with stoping. Is there are easy way to practice on home and on the ice??

  • Fast Version Is Sick!!

  • Great drill. I've seen a lot of variations of it.

  • Great videos guys! I improved a lot by watching a couple of topics then going out and practicing during free skate times. Your videos are some of the most descriptive I've found here. Keep them coming!!!

  • my ouside edge always slides like im stoping, is it becuase im not digging my skate hard enough into the ice?

  • I feel like I would just lose an edge trying this and spill really hard. I have terrible outside edge control, and I don't know how to fix that.

  • Guys you gotta keep em comming!! I have improved significantly due to your videos. Gotta love the sound of his edges in the ice. Keep er' tight

  • Wow, I'm very impressed with the skill training videos. Keep em' coming. Thank You

  • these vids are far less patronising than most.

    nice one.

  • I'm pro at that:pp well awsome!

  • Great vid, but having a mic attached to the guy instead of just the audio from the camera would really help, especially when he is skating.

  • yes, we will try to fix it. We figured that hockey training is important and goes hand in hand with equipment reviews. So we decided to do a set of training videos and see what kind off feedback we gonna get. Based on feedback we will try to improve video and sound quality.

  • nice vid do u guys work in the pro shop there or somethin and where is the rink??? or what name is the rink?

  • cool
