so did he had any broken bones after all or did they heal? because i've seen a horse with a broken leg and he didn't even touch the floor with it, he was all three-legged till he was put down. jazz doesn't really seem SO lame. but anyway, i'm so happy for you that he recovered after all! :) i hope the best of luck for you two!
