Are there any bands similar to Streetlight Manifesto I should check out? The only artist I can think of right now that resembles this is Less Than Jake.
@TheWildSeraph I highly reccomend The Suicide Machines. They're an awesome Ska/Punk/Hardcore band from Detroit. Listen to Destruction by Definition and Battle Hymns and if you like what you hear check out their last two albums "A Match and Some Gasoline" and "War Profiteering Is Killing Us All."
@straightedge442 I know! the main reason why I was so drawn to them was the bassline in journey to the end of east bay. Been listening to them since I was a kid. They're one of my all-time favorites.
@dirtyhead4life That bass line is so incredible. That was definitely at least part of what drove me to his stuff. Jesse Michaels wrote some awesome lyrics too, which is one of the main reasons I love Op Ivy.
i wish i can press a like all button so i dont have to go to all of the songs and waste time pressing tht dam button instead of listening to this awesome ass music :(
You know, at first I didn't like Streetlight after hearing it on my brother's playlight, but it grew on me fast. Now I love them.
Though no one else does. That's just sad. They've all been brainwashed by Justin Bieber and Eminem and all those other strange singers. They don't know what real music is... >.>
When you played this song this night at waterstreet... holy fuck. Im just some stupid 14 year old kid and I still know how good this music is. You guys rocked the place, first time I crowd surfed to the barrier without getting dropped. Best concert ive ever been to.
@ikorolou listen to yourself bro, only because of the horns it's ska? no way man, it would be like classifying Yellowcard as Classical Music because of the violin, they're influenced by ska, but it's definitely not a major influence, they're way beyond ska...
@xpredox just saying, it's the style they play the horns with, and listen to the bass too. They're ska, and if you try to say they're not then just listen to first wave ska, and then second and third. Each wave has a huge difference, so even if they seem different it doesn't mean they aren't ska. Oh and a lot of bands say they aren't pop punk. Does that mean that they really aren't? Not trying to piss you off, but don't forget they have "Riding the Fourth Wave", meaning fourth wave of ska. <3SM
@StarvinMarvin1990 I like this band AND sum 41. Is there something wrong with liking a wide variety of artists? I don't think so. I'm fed up of haters, just listen to the goddamn music people and stop arguing over genres/popularity etc.
I got a gun in my hand but the gun won't cock. Got my finger on the trigger but the trigger seems locked. I can't stop staring at this tick tock clock. And even if I could I would never give up. With a vest on my chest, a bullet in my lung; I can't believe I'm dying with my song unsung. And even if I die won't you bury me alone? 'Cause I'll never get to heaven if I'm singing this song. whoops wrong song :D
