The term "Kitsch" describes it best. Doesn't anyone find this whole project cheap (from an artistic point of view), unimaginative and dangerously disrespective towards Venetian Renaissance architecture, I wonder.

Is this what the world really needs more of?
Casino's?
It is too bad, Asia is being swindled in the same way the people of the US were with the recent real estate bubble.
These massive casino's don't have any real cultural appeal, so once the novelty of them wears off they will turn into ghost towns.
Instead of beautiful wetlands that had real value, you will be left with decaying sky scrapers.
Too bad.

except for the fact that the Chinese love gambling and there are 1.6 billion of them.

You got that right.

Agreed, what a waste of space, energy, and talent.
Why is it we humans only organize to build stupid shit or fight in wars. I don't get it.

A slightly modified version is also used for a similar video for the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Seems to fit better for the later thou! :D

What a waste of time, energy cash and resources. I can think of a dozen more noble and important ventures than a freaking strip of supercasinos.

i can't image HK developing into a city of gambling, they are cities of different styles.

That is Macau, not Hong Kong. Gambling is illegal in HK except lottery and horse racing.
