  • Very nicely played this beautiful song. May I know what book are you using and who's the arranger? I also like your As Time Goes By. I would like to learn these songs. Much appreciate your help. Thanks.

  • I also play piano, and this is such a lovely song.

    You are very talented.

I really liked the Great Pumpkin Waltz as well.

    Wonderful. :)

  • Fantástico. Mucho sentimiento.Transmites.Llega Enhorabuena

  • Bonsoir !

  • ohhhhhhhhh its so lovely!!! keep playing!!

  • Amazing !!

    you 're doing great.

    It really kickass stuff !

(C'est comme ça qu'on dit aux Etats Unis ? ) LOL.

    C'est très très bon !

  • You have played this song beautiful and fantastic!!

  • My lord that's beautiful. You play very very nicely. What great feel. I wish I would have learned piano instead of guitar sometimes ... hehehe

  • I've been playing a guitar version of this for years. Absolutely gorgeous. Your version possibly rivals even the great Bill Evans'.

  • buddah.....this is skill

  • that was wonderful. very expressive... you're a wonderful player.

Merci

  • Merci tellement mon ami. Je souhaite que je me sois assis sur un dessus de toit à Paris. Espoir vous comprenez mon français.

  • magic. i've listened to so many different versions by famous artists, and i have to say that i would take your arrangement over any other version (except maybe eva cassidy's because she really brings out the emotion). i feel like autumn leaves isn't really suited to be played in a fast swing. love the chords you stick in between.

  • thanks :) you're very kind--and who doesn't LOVE Eva's rendition of this standard. such a tragedy that she's no longer with us.

  • beautiful

  • very beautiful arrangement and great playing!... i hope your hand's feeling better!

  • Your control and timbre that you pull from the piano is impressive. Really good arrangment too. It's unfortunate you didn't solo though.

  • why half naked?

  • i live in houston, it's hot here :)

  • LOL

  • I like the sound of acoustic piano, but I play electronic

  • beautiful hands for a beautiful piece...

  • Hi. Hey, how do you do that? I want to learn to read a chart and improvise the way you do. I already know how to read notes. I've played the piano for many years.

How did you learn? Do you have any advice about where I might start?

There are DVD courses I've found on the internet but they are prohibitively expensive---hundreds of dollars for each set of lessons.

    Thanks for any advice

  • I learned from Dan Hearle at UNT, I was a jazz studies minor. I don't recommend any of those courses, poke around the internet and there are literally hundreds of sites about improvisation, chord voicings, and the like.

    best of luck and thanks!!

  • Genuinely you improvised that off the sheet? Really tight, competent improvising in that case! Nicely done!

  • This is great. And yeah, it'd be great if you could post a arrangement of what you're doing here.

  • very nice one

  • Thank you for the good camera angle on the keyboard. As a new player it helps me understand what you're doing. Simple things like how you use your left hand to mix the low bass notes and the more middle keyboard chord comp.

  • hmmmm, someone giving you lessons?--you have good terminology for a beginner.

  • Hi,

Yes - agree with previous poster - We you reading from a transcribed arrangement ? Could you tell us what it is ? Very nice piece.

I play a fair amount and also work on a computer keyboard. Recently started having problems with dumb tingly hands. How did you approach this, with regards to you piano playing ?

  • careful with tingly hands--i'm currently recovering from a nerve injury that nearly paralyzed my right hand. go to a neurologist!!

  • if you have tingly hands you have pinched a nerve somewhere--get to a neurologist.

  • Ok. I promise to, if you can tell me the arrangment! :-) Most problems came from the computer keyboard/mouse, which went away after getting an ergonomic keyboard.

  • PLZPLZPLZ send me a transcription!!!! or where to get the sheet music for that (plz don't tell me thats improvising)

  • i'm playing from a chord chart--just melody and chord symbols--the rest is, sorry to say, improvised. i have had many requests for sheets--i do have software that will notate what i play, and i will be posting my arrangements soon. thanks so much!! :)

  • I love this song!

  • this song is so beautiful

  • beautiful!

  • Haha real cocktail bar piano ^_^ I love it. Always really smooth, light and makes you slightly tipsy, just like a cocktail lol. It sort of stays in the back of your mind as you hear it and its only a while after you've heard it that you wonder what it was that sounded so good. ^_^ 5 star
