It would have been cool, except the whole point of that episode was for Ryan to realize that Marissa's death was unavoidable, and he ultimately gave her 3 more years to her life. Her being in the alternate universe would have defeated the purpose.

ALTHOUGH, I definitely agree that I had my hopes up that she'd be back that episode when I first saw the promo. I loved Marissa.
