after re-seeing this scene, it makes me wonder if the 10th Doctor would have handled the situation with the Paradine Daleks in season 5 differently than the 11th Doctor. in that episode the 11th lets the Daleks escape so he can save the Earth, instead of sacrificing the Earth to destroy the Dalek threat once and for all.
