Acually if you think about it, the pressure created by an explosion could, when it hits you body, create a difference in pressure between the outside air and the air inside your lungs could make them explode.

not really, its the dramatic over pressure that causes all the damage. the shrapnal comes second, and then the fireball. I remember one time we were setting off C4 (i work with explosives for a living)  and we were almost a quarter mile from the blast in a concrete bunker. One guy actually passed out, and another popped a blood vessel in his eye some how.
