Why bring age into liking this car? If you want to see cars that are a big snooze and make me feel ready for the old age home, the Corolla and Civic are on the top of the list in this class, not this car. Granted, when it's redesigned it might get more flair but less is more and I think it feels young and sporty looking especially compared to those others. I have rented a Corolla, a Civic and an Elantra and none of them can compete with this car in overall comfort, handling and integrity.

I went from an altima coupe ... to this ... and I have to say it took me a few months of realizing how economic this car was to make up for how much I loved my A/C. Overall tho this is a perfect commuting car, good gas mileage, not expensive and fairly big trunk ! can fit 3 people and three snowboards in this car without any problems !

I agree. This car is great I've owned my 08 SER for 2.5 years with no problems. I do have to admit tho, that this car isn't for everybody. But like most others that enjoy the sentra, you'll know right away if its for you.

I just saw a 2007 roadfly video reviewing a sentra and was suprised to see how little the car has changed in 5 (I say 5 due to the 2012 sentra being on the market now) years. The interior was nearly the exact same as the 2012 model. I'm assuming nissan doesn't make big changes to their cars over time.

@flipfloplogic Honestly I don't think I would change this car for anything---the ergonomics are just perfect. I cannot believe anyone would rather have a civic(they are EVERYWHERE!) over this roomy delight. There is nothing in this class that interests me and am glad I got this car before Nissan copy's Toyota by making it a smaller version of the Altima! BORING!

I'm considering a loaded SL. For 23000 (thats loaded with everything I want plus accessories) its a better deal than a loaded fiesta at the same price. However the sentra does appear a bit bland inside and out. Compared to the new cruze and elantra the sentra needs some work. I may still buy one.

@flipfloplogic Are you kidding me? I love my Sentra's stubby/boxy look! It always reminds me of the Millennium Falcon. You get that high-riding seating position thanks to the car's cross-over platform and the interior has several things that it's competitor's don't. The glovebox IS HUGE--the cupholders are an evolution in drink-holding technology and the cabin isn't noisy like the honda civic;Best of all the CVT transmission! No more loosing power with only 5-gears! Great Car!!!

140hp is not very much for a car that size, it's rather weak actually, better suited to the Honda Civic, which is for little old ladies and college girls.

Man this generation of Sentra looks so much better all around then last generation which is probably one of the worst cars I've ever been in hands down. My GF has an 06 model and the interior fit and finish and quality of materials is probably the worst of the worse in terms of low grade. Definitely skewed my perception of low end Nissans.

My mother has the 2009 version. I find they made it look so cheap after that year! Looks cheaper now. Interior is worse as well!
