  • @produKtNZ sounds like you had an 82 or older- I believe 83 and newer all had the double rectangle headlights

  • Nice looking car. I've always liked this style for the Cressida the best.

  • i have a v8 cressida

  • how much and where are you located?

  • @asanti76 I've decided to keep for the time being. Its left rear control arm is beginning to rust away due to age/ road salt etc. which is why I wanted to sell it, but I think I'm going to try to fix at least for now.

Sorry for such a late reply. For whatever reason I never recieved a notification of a new comment. Blasted new Youtube layout sucks...

  • @asanti76 *fix it for now. smh

  • @produKtNZ Even to this day, it's been one of the most amazing engine notes\tone i've ever heard :) and this trip to Nelson was more than 10 years ago :D

  • CRESSIDA is the best.

  • got a 91 yesterday for $800, it's so sick

  • My baby is a Cressida '90..

  • Let's hear it for old Toyotas!!

  • ours was taken away from us when my dad was rear ended one december buy a huge 80s Chevy Blazer. He then got in to 4 runners. You know, instead of building the shit they do today, maybe Toyota should start remanufacturing the parts for their older cars. Cressida's, and many other cars from this era, and the early nineties are still on the road, because they came from an era when as Top Gear presenters Clarkson, Hammond, and May so eloquintly put it, car makers built their cars properly.

  • @redmr2na I have no idea why this comment didn't show up in my inbox, but yeah I completely agree. Old Toyota's were nearly indestructible (save for corrosion problems), and are some of my favorite cars of all time w/ Cressidas, Celica Supras, MR2s, Corolla GT-S etc. It's really a shame how far quality and building an enjoyable car has fallen on their list of priorities. Today there's not a single car in their bland-box lineup that I would buy; they build appliances, not cars.

  • Man, I love old Toyotas. My father had one of these when I was a kid, and this car was the shit back then, and still is now. I was really pissed when they discontinued the Cressida and brought out the Avalon. At the time, my mother had a equally cool car, the 85 Honda Accord. The Cressida, however would shit all over that car because it had the inline 6 baby, the Honda had its smaller yet no less reliabe 1.5 4 pot. The Cressida was a rocket ship though. Fast and comfortable. Unfortunately

  • I have an 84 Cressida Luxury Wagon, Same color and same interior- drifts like a madman!

  • @heremiah1 Video??

  • @peculiarmadman don't have any yet, working on car first- looks like shit right now...

  • the lexus before the lexus

  • what an ugly pile of shit......I love it!

    and I want one!

    be perfect with wide wheels.

  • @tpvalley First sentence made me laugh

  • @peculiarmadman

u cant beat ugly cars like this, cars with a defined bonnet and boot/ trunck and hood rather than just a smooth bubble.

  • @tpvalley Except it's not an ugly car...

  • @crackaddict444 Amen to that

  • My aunt's friend has a 1984 Cressida, his is white with burgandy leather interior, he has the digital gauges with the trip computer and only 101K original miles. The thing is immaculate.

  • My first car was a 1984 Cressida wagon and I loved it. I used to drag race it! Best car I have ever owned! We swapped the motor out with a 2jz and had a blast I miss that car so much! He is a lucky kid.

  • I saw one just like dave's at a burger king a few years ago. Same color as his...only, this one was MINT

  • Mine is station wagon, these cars are really heavy and comfortable and they last forever...
