This is a beautiful ministry! To help others is the what Christ asks of us. The beauty and healing when we gather together to care for and contribute back to people is the greatest gift. These people people have seen great pain, death and a sorrowful past. In the US we could not know this kind of life these people endure. Are we willing to step out of our comfort zone and abundant lives to help?
I lived in Tanzania for three months and we were lucky to have a water pipe in our backyard. The water wasn't clean so we had to boil the water to drink or brush our teeth. Most families can't afford to buy coal to boil the water. More than once the children I knew developed worms from drinking dirty water.
God Bless the organizations that build clean water resources in Africa!

My favorite part was definitely:
"What are you doing?"
"Walking in someone else's shoes... they're big shoes."
