Some comments on here are absurd. There is no rule that states a prospect must play college ball in a school within their home state.
OU is a national brand with all the tradition in the world, they can recruit anywhere. But why not just go accross the border and get all the talent you need. UTexas gets their fair share also, so I don't see what all the fuss is about. And I do agree that OU ends up recruiting Texas much better than the home schools. Its no different between OSU and UMichigan.

I always wanted to, but instead went to the Air Force. I plan on eventually going to The Academy, or going to OTS. Hopefully one day. Yes, Dallas is divided. I also see alot of Dallas residents going to UNT or even UNT. I dont know man. I think any Texas college would have been better. One day I hope to make my way back to Texas.

I would love to go to the academy though, To be able to join the academy straight outta high school you mus first get an approval from a congressman and a letter of reckognition. Then you go through this selection process. Little do people know, but these men and women come out of the academy as officers who lead my enlisted force,

Some comments on here are absurd. There is no rule that states a prospect must play college ball in a school within their home state.
OU is a national brand with all the tradition in the world, they can recruit anywhere. But why not just go accross the border and get all the talent you need. UTexas gets their fair share also, so I don't see what all the fuss is about. And I do agree that OU ends up recruiting Texas much better than the home schools. Its no different between OSU and UMichigan.

trust me man, we would be fine. our top players (bradford, mccoy, gresham) are all from oklahoma, along with franks and plenty others. But you act like most schools dont recruit from other states. If i were you i would actually be embarrassed that OU can go into texas and continuously take your top some of your players year after year

I also went to high school with Travian Smith that played at OU in thte late 90's. They will tell you the same thing, OU could not win without Texas players. If its not true, why do I have OU and OSU coaches in my office nearly everyday asking about my players? OU is a great school with a rich tradition. But facts are facts.

That does not take away from the fact that the only reason OU goes to texas is simply because we want too, not because we have too. plenty of our best players from the stoops era were from other states besides texas (roy williams, white, bradford, calmus, lofton, the list goes on and on.

Why would I lie about that? Im not trying to make myself look big. Ive seen coaches from just about every conference in this part of the country (BigXII, Conference USA, Moutain West, Etc.) come through here. Thats part of their job. They are not coming to see me. They are here to get out players.
