The way Stalin died in this cinematic sequence reminds me of how he actually died in real life. I heard that Stalin was given rat poison and died of a cerebral hemorrhage, or stroke. It kind of reminds me of what later happened to voice artist Chris Latta (responsible for G1 Transformers' Starscream and Wheeljack).

With this ending, I don't understand why they would make any of the sequels, this is where "Red Alert" ends and the Brotherhood of NOD starts, basically, and so the NOD vs. GDI lore.. =) Pity that the current C&C games are such a joke now. C&C1 and C&C:RA1 are still the best of them all!

@WickedMuis Agreed about C&C1 and C&C:RA1 being the best. But hey, look at it that way: when you beat RA1 with the soviets, the Brotherhood comes out, and the story continues with C&C1. When you finish RA1 with the allies, Stalin dies (spoileeer haha), and after the game the allies place a puppet at the head of USSR: the story continues in Red Alert 2.

So all in all, we have both stories developped, which is for the best.

This is the original story arc, thus the only legitmate one, in my mind. I'm glad Kane's actor got more work, as he deserves it, but EA raped the story and made millions from their own bullshit from what was originally an amazing story arc created by Westwood Studios. Such a sad ending to see 3 additional games that had inconsistencies at every corner.

Red alert (1996) was supposed to be a prequal to C&C (1995). The storyline that led-up to the C&C events are interconnected with Red Alert. In one of the allied missions of RA there was a reference to the creation of the GDI. Also, in C&C there was a reference to earlier major war that resulted in a resource shortage of easily minable resources. With the impact of the meteorite with Tiberium near Tiber, there was new access easily minable resources.

Nod and Kane who had foreseen the arrival of Timberum where capable of seizing major amounts of Tiberium and had developed a way to harvest Tiberium.

For the original storyline to make sense. The Soviets where supposed to lose the war in RA 1. This led to the brotherhood going underground in the broken remnants of the former USSR and Europe.

When EA seized control of Westwood and their franchise, they decided to ditch the original story-arc and disconnect both franchises from each other. Opening the way up for more sequels with their own story-arcs. The current Red Alert franchise and C&C franchise are no longer interconnected.

No. There are 2 time lines and 2 different endings. This Soviet victory in the first Red Alert leads to Tiberian Dawn. From the 1950's to about the 1990's where just like in our world, Communism of Russia once again falls due to the arms race and the space race. Having most of Europe and Russia join the UN, Which explains how GDI got their hands on the Russian Mammoth tank.

The Allied ending leads to RA2, and the biggest paradox in time travel I've ever seen, RA3.

Actually, the Tiberium series still occurs at the 90s in the Command and Conquer Generals Universe, it's just that Kane went into hiding till Tiberium will make it's presence decades into the future, but with Red Alert 3, they're no longer connected.

I already made an ending to the Simpsons Halloween mini-episode Nightmare Cafeteria where Skinner gets his well-deserved comeuppance for eating children. In my ending, Stalin is Skinner, Nadia is Edna (Bart's teacher), and Kane is the Mysterious Man (a character I made up). My ending is a lampoon to this Soviet ending. But I made the M-Man in one version shoot Edna and walk out of the cafeteria with his hands in the air.

Really good ending.
