Co-headlining with Therapy? in Glasgow a few years back... best fucking gig ever, and this is just too fucking underrated... And The Bullshit Goes On...
it HAS tune and lyrics.. ginger was always a geniius at that... but the band was fab, thats what made my 90's .... what i do find shocking is that it humbles all the crap they splurgle out atm... oh well..
I know.. I know... whenever I want to show somebody what The Wildhearts can do, i always show them this. The lyrics are amazing too. Almost prophetic when you think about the way the 'industry' is now...
Thanks for putting this up,giving the unaware the chance to get an earfull of The Wildhearts-- the most criminally under-rated band of all time.
When you think about it--- the really should be fucking huge. Their music is a magnificent collision of balls out rock, metal, power pop, punk, britrock, and bitter sweet balladry. And often, its all of the above all at once!
I love the main riff in this song, the huge chorus, and the awesome riff tangent it goes off in the middle.
@kylereece1979 Yep. This band literally is criminally underrated, and what i mean by that is that the people who run the world are bascially as bad as the criminals if not worse.
@gruntshunts123 Theres a huge philthy punk presence throughout their songs- and I love how it corrodes with the Metal side o'things, like so many other classics from 'em. The main riff here- kinda reminds me of Coma by Guns n Roses- only better. Fantastic Beavis and Butthead approaved riff, freaked out verses, glorious chorus, and again- in the middle it fucks off onto a totally wired to the moon tangent, before crashing back again. Looking forward to Gingers new one this year.
@kylereece1979 I plan on preordering the triple album coming up. I hope it has more metal elements than chutzpah, but more importantly, I hope it has less pop elements. Chutzpah was great but I think the pop elements were almost a step too far. Just saying. And when I say the pop elements I'm specificially refering to the studio production. Id also like some songs that go back to their style of the PHUQ album, but that would be almost impossible w/o danny. Its all good tho.
@kylereece1979 Okay Everyone. I just heard the preview of the tripple album. Idk about you, but I think its complete trash. The lyrics consist of nothing more than your the one, come one I know your the one and its all poppy. Search The Wildhearts triple ablum preview and look for some song with the one in the title. Not only am I unimpressed but I am kindof pissed. Glad I never pledged to this shithouse.
Another comment after listening to it again...it's the *craft* of the fucking thing. Amazing how it all fits together and feels perfect. Long live the 'hearts!
Most underrated band of all time - even if they did base their whole sound on I'll Be You by the Replacements, what a way to start!!
