I like this movie, say what you will. I saw this movie when it first came out and then the second. My mother would take me to the movies, knowing my love of horror films. I can still remember sitting in the movie house, eating a burger and people shouting at the scene....Get that mother fudger and who could forget The Hues Corporation in the film. Oh those were the days, bring your own food in, smoking (alright I know that's wrong, but back then you could), the balcony and gum under the seat.

I remember seeing this movie in a theatre when it first came out. I was probably about 8 years old. I was too young to know that I was watching a "Blaxploitation" movie. To me, it was just another vampire movie, with a black cast. And I was a huge vampire fan.

The image of the vampire lady running down the hallway towards the camera in slow motion hounted me for years afterwards. It's still a great scene...

I have heard about Blacula for close to 40 years but I've never seen the movie or its Trailer. Sure, I have seen Blacula's picture in the horror magazine which was circulating at that time. This is my first viewing here. It's interesting to see how people used to think when it first came out. Thank you for posting this unusual film, it is original and reflects the American society in the early 1970's.
