HEY! can somone help me??? i got a problem with bittorrent. okey here ist he problem. i downloadet some 2 torrents and started playing gothic2 like everytime when i'm downloading things. but gothic 2 crashed the first time i had to restart my computer and the files from bittorrent are not loading. so i deleted the 50% files and started a new torrent download. but instead of 1mb/s (DL-Rate) the speed is like 15KB/s!!!! it shows that the download needs 1 year. i reinstalled bittorrent noth changed

Hm lets clean up some things: using torrent is NOT illegal. Torrent means that who wants to download something downloads it from more users, and not from one server. It can be used to illegally distribute sofware, yes. So as the ftp protocoll for example. Anyone saying torrent is bad, evil etc... just sais internet is bad, evil etc.

"Stealing" media also forces music/movie/game makers into producing more elaborate and original content to compete with their own already freely mass distributed product. By alowing companies to soak every dollar they can out of every little release it allows them to milk everything until the market is saturated in over priced crap people wouldn't want if there was better.

I don't think having things torrented would make things more expensive. Actually economically it would bring all prices down as they would have to compete with illegal and free methods of procuring information with legal ones which cost a certain amount of funds. I would opt toward the legal reasonably priced version every day of the week; however, the gaming and music industry seems to be going the way of monopolies which negatively impact originality/quality in the end.

Is there a possibility of another computer blocking your bittorrent downloads? Eg the main house computer blocking my bittorrent on my laptop. Because right now I suspect it is happening to me.

It is possible that the ports that your bit torrent uses is been blocked by some one who has control over your routers settings. Check them and see if their are any ports blocked or see if you can change the ports that your bit torrent uses.

Ohh... and it could also be your ISP stopin' you downloading stuff of bit-torrents like they should! Just stop downloading stuff and avoid the fine that will eventually come if you continue. Cheeper to buy stuff normally than steel it.
