Only 2 of the 7 'recantations' (out of 34 witnesses) actually recanted anything of value, and those 2 affidavits were discounted by the court because Davis refused to allow them to testify at the post-trial evidentiary hearing.
Why? Because their lawyer-drafted affidavits would not have held up under cross-examination.

News Flash: the Governor has issue a partial reprieve for Troy Davis. No lethal injection! He now get's the electric chair, but the Governor has agreed to reduce the voltage.
Okay, let Troy Davis go, but substitute in OJ Simpson. I'll never forget seeing on the news (dozens of times), a room full of niggers cheering when OJ was declared "not guilty". Sickening!
Maybe the news will cut to a room full of white people cheering as Troy Davis is executed.
