  • it all used to be war drums. now it's a ceremonial instrument. the flags were used to communicate to the drummers and near by platoons/sections of the army to communicate with them. now it's more like a conductor in a concert.

  • I was just looking at the other drum performances here & amused by the diffnce bwteen this, Japanese & Korean! They're all very similar but @the same time,diffent! W/the 'directr' here wavng those command flags, I suddnly realzed tht these drums were mainly used 4 war in the history of all these countries-these are war durms afterall! I suggst going 2 the other videos, watch & enjoy the diffrnce.
