Without a doubt there should be no life sentence. Even a twenty year sentence seems excessive to me. He just had someone pointing a gun aggressively in his face and it all happened in the time span of a few seconds. That said he still did probably step over the bounds of reasonable self defense.

@ERlady Easy for you to say, but the truth is that unless a person is trained to remain calm in such situations then it is normal for them to act irrationally especially with all the adrenaline and other chemicals the body pumps out for intense situations like that. Most people either go overboard or freeze and get killed when they get into these situations, I forgot the exact numbers and 46 seconds is not much time. Now if it was 15 minutes or so afterwards then he deserves it.

When you enter a business or a home, armed, with intent to commit harm, you waive your right to remain alive if the owners decide to shoot. I agree with your producer: people sometimes freak out. If you go look at the picture it's literally a half erect penis outline inside a pair of briefs. You can't even see the skin of the penis.
This is the biggest non-issue in the galaxy and it could have easily been faked. All you'd have to do is find a half erect penis in a pair of underwear or take a picture of your own and you'd have that photo. There's no way to even identify it. You could have Weiner's penis next to the photo and still not be able to tell.
