wu language (shanghainese) is the second most spoken in china and 10th most spoken in the world. but since all wu speakers also speak mandarin it doesn't really matter =.=
Nice video mate - I definitely think both are good languages and I hope to conquer both eventually. However I'm working on Mandarin myself at the moment, even though here in the UK Cantonese is very widely spoken in the Chinese community, not to mention my friends speak predominantly Canto themselves. But I think all of that is changing as more Mandarin speakers are immigrating or studying abroad. As I said though, I think both are very good languages, both with unique advantages and cultures!
I as well choose both cos I'm Chinese and I was born in England :)
