This short film had a lot of problems but I think the solution would have been just more time in either rounding out the characters nicely or having a longer run time to flesh out the characters more. I think a couple of the actors didn't want to be there because they didn't feel real. They just wanted to blurt out their lines and get it over with. Then again I don't know what the situation was like being there and nor am I a film maker/actor.
I only had a week and a half to write, shoot and edit the film. I wanted to make it longer, but it had to be less than 10 minutes. the people who acted in the film were the only people who responded to our add for actors. It was a difficult shoot, but it turned out better than I hoped for. not my personal best, but its better than I was expecting
As films go, this one has its problems. we took 1 week to write this, 2 days to get actors, locations, and props. 4 days to shoot, and 3 days to edit it, on topp of that, I had classes and stuff. im actually happy it was over acted instead of underacted, at least it becomes cheezy fun. I shot this at a friends house and at a park near by in Hamilton ON.
If people want more, Ill try and make a bunch of webisodes.
