The best way to do it is to use a language that you're a bit familiar with (I usually stick with German because that's what I learned in high school, plus for some reason the Japanese Nico won't take my information. :/ )

You also need to make an account to watch videos on Nico. If you Google it, some people have translated the account register form.

As far as obtaining vids I'm not familiar with, but I hope this answered your question enough.
