The 1,000 year REIGN of Christ is a day of rest. 1,000 years is a day and a day is a 1,000 years in the sight of God. The 1,000 year resting period, until the final temptation of Satan and his pre determined defeat, THEN the new heaven and new earth.

Armageddon first of all is a battle, the Apocalypse is the entire series of end times events, it is the process of revealing Christ to the world. Before you can reveal Christ you have to reveal the Anti-Christ, this is all to test souls. WW3 I believer will trigger the 7 year tribulation. The Battle of Armageddon comes at the end of the 7 years and Jesus interrupts that battle and establishes his
