hard foul. stupid foul but it was without malice. throwing him out was to control the crowd and to calm them down. game was already out of reach. no need to cause a riot.
Hard and stupid foul. I would have called a flagrant because he should know that at that speed, a foul will have a more severe impact. He could have tried to block it from and up to down angle as opposed to swinging at the ball like that. If you've ever played organized ball in your life, you'll know that coaches do not condone that.
Are you guys nuts? This was obviously worthy of a flagrant foul. The game was out of reach by far and Ariza goes swinging hard for the ball. Also, I like how you all failed to mention Ariza's reaction after and the skirmish that broke out. He didn't show a single sign of empathy, even though Fernandez needed a neck brace. Ariza is a fucking punk.
That was a hard foul, but without malice. Rudy was already off-balance before he went up. Future B-ball players... learn to jump off 2-feet to improve your chances of recovering while in the air.
they ejected him to control the crowd and for his own safety. its actually a smart move because the game was already out of reach so ejecting him wasnt a big deal.
slightly hard foul, yes. flagrant and lazy, no way in hell. instead of being blinded by bias against the LAKERS, examine the video again more carefully. you can clearly see ariza only wrist checking rudy and nothing else, ariza didn't grab or toss rudy in any way, rudy's momentum was what ultimately cause him to fall the way he did. if anything that flagrant 2 needs to be rescinded. "out for the rest of the season." give me break, that foul doesn't even warrant a fine.

this was not even a flagrant 1 foul, he swung at the ball and like someone said earlier rudy was off balance already

Hard yes, but clearly aiming for ball.

Finally, i could get a look.
Actually, that kind of hard foul happaned a lot in any one night of NBA games.
Unfortunately, Rudy suffered.
Wish he would get back soon.

Ariza needs to be out for the rest of the season. That kind of lazy foul is dangerous and could seriously injure people.
