  • Thank you. This is quite helpful.

  • God, people! Stop broadcasting yourself in this fashion! It's embarrassing!

  • @starrofsuns lol

  • Where can i fin auditions in the UK around Manchester/ London , im 16 got an a in GCSE Drama and soon to do acting at A-Level?

  • @insanity745 Best thing to do is go onine and check for auditions around them areas luckily you are in the best areas where there are many auditions taking place for example you can audition for waterloo road and start there it is set in manchester good luck and if you need any advice just ask.

  • @ESSJ333 Thank you very much for your reply and advice!

  • im 13 and im been doing alot of research latley i no the basics and in couple months im taking some basic classes anyone have some advice after that

  • @AliniumGaming ME TOO!!! :D

  • What if your 13 girlthat lives in Pittsburgh. And they make movies ALL the time but only cast extras. Ive been there and done that. I do classes at the CLO. Ready for an agent? I a, 13 i feel like time is running out to be like sel gomez

  • @Agfunproductions im 13 and i act too professionally though.first thing u need to know is that its gonna be REALLY REALLY hard to get a job. it took atleast 50 auditions. and about selena gomez. i met her shes really nice , but when you act u cant try to be like someone else, you have to be your own person. Yes get an agent :P

  • i live in ireland and most of the acting jobs are in england and for most of them you are required to live in england. is there any other way to get a job?

  • i would smoke a blunt whit him

  • What if you are a teenager who does have what it takes but lives a poor family that is far from affording an agent or any fancy lessons or performing arts.

  • @VERITYISAWSOME

I am in the same predicament :(

BUT KEEP POSITIVE! With research i've come to find that...

you don't pay an agent until you get a job (they get 15% of your pay)

Just take school drama classes and cheep classes are fine too! When it comes down to looking at a resume they look at how much experience you have not how much the experience cost! PM me if you have any other questions... Wow I sound Kinda weird huh? Well just trying to help a fellow actor/actress in need :)

  • I do have the talent(im not being cocky, just saying not everyone has made an audience cry during a performance. Twas awesome!), unfortunately I don't have the money to get myself started, nor would I be able to get my parents blessing on this. They see it as a hobby of mine, not a talent. :L

  • he can't do a english accent. You shouldn't lie on your resume.

  • Is being in chorus and theater in my high school a good way to start? Thats what I'm doing this year. I don't know if I can put the plays I've done from middle school and high school on my resume though...

  • @nbakiki23 that's not true at all.

  • when i was about 11 i was the main part of my school play and i enjoyed it. after that i just didnt go on with acting. now im 14 and want to get back into it but i developed... stage fright! im just not as confident as i used to be. would i be able to get back into acting?

  • my resume is my youtube channel lol

  • @LeriChichinadze ur an ice skater? i am. a really good one and i also do singing, i play a little of drums, guitar, and piano, jazz dancing, ballet dancing, acting, and modeling. I can speak English, Spanish and a little Japanese. idk if i would ever get famous even though my cousin is on nickelodian. :(( u can become an actor if you get experience and audition for roles. :)

  • i'm 15 years old guy (i think not an ugly one).I speak English,Georgian,Spanish,Russian,Italian(a little).i play guitar, dance(breakdance and other stuff.i performed on many big stages), skateboard, ride a horse, ski, swim, rollerskate, ice skate, drive Quadrocycle, drive snowmobile..(i said all this things because this guy mentioned water skiing.) nut i don't have any experience in acting. can i become a popular actor?

  • @LeriChichinadze You can be an extra in some movies and as you progress and get experience you may break out into your own roles.

  • I'm only 25 years old and I'm really want to become an actor so bad. Even though I never performed as an actor but believe me, I really want to act in front of people. I know the first thing of breaking into acting is to attend acting courses at my nearby college. I'm planning to go back to school and taking up drama courses so I want to get started on my acting career.

  • @rsc980 I'm somewhat an aspiring actor my self. Good luck with your career.

  • P.S. Never Never Never EVER, LIE ON YOUR RESUME......

It WILL catch up with you..

You just have to trust me on that.... 0);-))

  • What he forgot to tell you is Acting or performing in ANY WAY, ON STAGE, TAKES A LOT OF HARD WORK. There's a lot of Pain and suffering, And, YOU CAN NEVER STOP LEARNING. "Acting" takes your mind to places you've NEVER THOUGHT OF. One day you may be called upon to be a Professor of Medicine, and the next day you may be asked to be a sewer worker in Brooklyn NY. And, you must be believable in both parts. Some Directors will work with you if you need help. Others will THROUGH YOU OFF THE SET.

  • woh ppl lets just calm down unless that was acting lol then good job everyone

  • "Others... Well, uh, taking lessons might help" xD

  • hey can anyone give m advice on acting. im in highschool but i want to become famous like tom cruise. but im nervous as hell to go to one of the try outs. can anyone tell me if its worth tryin out for acting?

  • @freedomfighter13103 you already on the wrong path. if you wanna act, do it cuz you wanna act, not to become famous. you wanna become famous? try out for the next jersey shore. don't mean to sound rude but if you're nervous about trying out, suck it up and try out and if you get the part, great. if you don't try out again. and see if you like it! you're still in HIGH SCHOOL! you got plenty of time to figure things out about acting and about other passions. you never know until you try.

  • @thefourthbeastie Thatsnot true he said nothing about being famouse! He was just giving you the steps to becoming a actor/actress some people might do it to become famouse who cares about then thoes people cant hardly act!

  • @DramaticChicka wasn't talking to dude in the video. talking to a commenter. let's not get in a flame war here. just watch your videos.

  • @thefourthbeastie Ok So hes NOT TALKING TO A DUDE aTLEAST HES TRYING TO HELP AND I FIND HIS ADVICE GUD IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DEN DNT WATCH THE VID ITS SIMPLE AS THAT N I WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH HIS VIDEOS CAUSE ITS ALOT OF HELP TO ME THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

  • @DramaticChicka you are stupid.

  • @freedomfighter13103 Acting Is Worth Trying Acting Is Fun! And Don't Be Afraid Or Nervouse,Im An Actress To And This Is My Second Year In High School! Any Way Yea You Should Try Acting,And Also Dont Like Acting Just To Become Famouse Make Sure Its Some Thing You Wanna Do, Make Sure Its Something You Wanna Do For Your Whole Life Make Sure Its A Passion And You Are Not DoinD It For The Fame And Money! And One Important Elemt Of Acting Is Imagination! Hope I Helped! Dont Forget Imagination!!!!!!

  • yeah it sucks, it's who you know and who knows who.....

  • ive wanted to be an actress for about 3 years and have been performing on stage since i was 4 but i havent found an audition for a movie yet!

  • Thank you for this is really helps!

  • that is not english RP

  • i have always wanted to become an actress that was my dream since i was 5.next year i am going to the art highschool at the theater section and after that theater and cinematography university.untill than i am just attending plays.

  • ngponygirl i would go get some action classes it will help A LOT and that way people take you more seriously that is what i am doing

  • what if u have no acting experience at all, but ppl have said u should be an actress and the role u wanna play is more serious do you need acting experience?

  • I always wanted to be an actress. Everyone I meet always asks me if I ever considered taking up acting. Answer is of course yes. I have experience from Jr. High, High School, and church/school plays. Acting is also just in the blood. In my area though most casting calls you have to be black, and I'm white so it is very hard to find anything. 24, talented, and still looking. I'd be happy just to be an extra.

  • I'm such a great actor but have no idea how to get in. But as soon as someone sees how good I'm they would hire me in an instant. I took all 4 college classes in acting, extensive.

  • Ive been taking lessons scince i was 3, it really does help. Im 12 next week and have been on tv twice. And BELEIVE ME, i am VERY shy! Everyone in my class was so confident and i was just quiet but after a while you gain a little confidence. Also it helps alot to get an agent.

  • @leanneDCfan what should i do cos im 13 in 4 weeks and well i have been performing since i was 4 but i haven tfound and audition and cant afford an agent cos i already do a lot of dancing and acting? plz help xx

  • @florence2694 umm well im only 12 but i think if you cant afford an agent and still love acting, go to a cheap-ish drama school. If you already do that, maybe search online? i do sometimes. Like i found out about panto auditions and i did audition for that earlier on in the year xx its nothing big but its a start:)

  • @leanneDCfan thnx for the help i dont really do acting lessons but i do 2 to 3 shows a year but thnx for the help where you from? xx

  • @florence2694 Your Welcome :) And cool shows are good experiance x Im from essex in england xxx

  • this was sooo helpful!!

  • I freakin love Richard Rifkin <3

  • good advice.

iv been acting since I was 6.

having mi voice be trained by a private vocal coach. nd take extra acting classes now and then. it's one of the funnest things u can do. I would defenatly try it out. :)

  • what do they teach in acting classes and lessons

  • @bhsbuck12 It's so much fun.. I took theatre 1 in my first year of college, and alot of it was breaking out of your shy bubble, and vocal practicing, improv, and standing in front of the entire class and introducing yourself, reading lines cold memory, and then putting it into a scenerio. so fun :)

  • I would really like to become an actress but my parents are really against that decision, so i cant go to an acting school to take lessons D:

  • @iOrexO you are not alone..I have been considering making a youtube account to get myself "out there"

  • you dont have to have experience because gabby from precious had no experience @ all...

  • @nbakiki23 No, Nowadays its not about your skill or passion, its about your looks. :l Its really.. stupid. But yes, it is about connections too.

  • It is so hard to get in...... ;( x It seems its all about the names !

  • @MsNatman what do mean about the names? x

  • IF u have a natural talent for acting do u still need an experience and also does a class kit count as an experience

  • Yer no one from England sounds like that.

  • @ytbtgt yh they do. sure it sounds a bit more lyk an australian, but it sounds lyk a milton keynes accent wivout the slang XD

  • @aussiechick00 I'm live very near milton keynes and no one there sounds like that.

  • @ytbtgt i live in milton keynes, so i think i wood kno

  • This helped.

  • i would act everyday for the rest of my life for free if i could...it's so amazing and the world of filmmaking is just incredible...i can't even describe in words how passionate i am about acting...

  • What if you r a 16 year old guy who has no experiance in acting at all! But you still dream of making it as a famous hollywood actor. Is there still hope?

  • Im 16, i do have experience.

Its very competetive and yeah you have to be slightly realistic to avoid dissapointment, but never let go of a dream.

Acting is my craft and passion, its all I want to do .

My advice: try and get some experience like local productions that are going on. I belong to a theatre company and thats how i've developed my skill.Just try and progress...but start now. Dont think you can just walk into LA and be 'found'

  • As long as you're willing to take steps towards becoming an actor and you take failures gracefully, there's no reason short of tragedy you couldn't.

  • @Supermoviewriter, You're only 16. You have plenty of opportunities. Some actors don't make it big till their 30s or 40s (Viggo Mortenson), or work as carpenters before hitting it big (Mark Harmon; Harrison Ford). Just keep trying, and you'll get there.

  • @Supermoviewriter Im 15, a little experience, hope to be an actor and be famous one day, but not sure if i'll be able to get there! its scary to think lots of people out there could be better than u.

For u id say go to some acting classes or join the theatre so that u can get that experience, then ull be on ur way to being a famour hollywood actor! good luck

  • @Supermoviewriter yes just take acting classes and try out for theatre and plays they'll help you build confidence in acting, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE ISF YOU WORK HARD

  • @Supermoviewriter There is always hope. Like he said, gain experience by working at your local theater or look for auditions around your area. Don't think that you'll become famous very soon. It can take many many years before you even get "noticed" for big a- list pictures. But don't let that discourage you. Stick in there and work hard. It takes persistance. If you're 16 you might need your parents to help you out or an agent that works with minors.

  • @Supermoviewriter

haha thats me..so is there hope?

  • @Supermoviewriter im with u there but im 18 and i hope so too.

  • @Supermoviewriter NO YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY HAVE THIS THING CALLED TALENT.

  • @Supermoviewriter Yes!! First, WANT IT. No, not "OH WHEN I BECOME FAMOUS, THOSE BULLIES WILL REGRET BEING MEAN TO ME!" Second, you need experience from PLAYS. School looks good on resumes but EXPIERIENCE IS PRICELESS. Third, a good school and coach. Fourth, a lot of money. school costs a fortune. It can cost 10,000 or MORE a year! And when you get an agent, don't let them make you go to their classes or photographer unless if their paying. Agents only make 10-15% of what you make

  • @Supermoviewriter well YES.. but only if you live in the US.. and the other of us.. like me i for instance who live in europe it' doesn't matter if we dream about it, we still can't make it into acting business because that industry is not that developed

  • @TammY1oo I'm from europe. And yea you can, london for instance, is a great city to get experience in. then if you CAN just move to usa. There's always hope.

  • @Supermoviewriter, "Famous" is something No Entertainer, no matter what Capacity, can aspire to be. That's left up to the public you Entertain. The only thing an Entertainer, In any Capacity can aspire to be is the best at what he or she does. However, The One thing EVERY Entertainer who has reached the rung of "Famous" learned through ALL THEIR HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE is, They can NEVER be bigger than their smallest fan. It may sound crazy to some. But, that's part of the GIFT of Fame.

  • thank you very much!! cheers men

  • Nowadays it's not about your skill or passion it's about connections which is super crap.

  • What you say about skill and connections is true, however, to make those connections, you need to get out there and start eloping, get into groups where you can meet new people and get as much background and reputation as possible. Of course, skill still dose play a part, if you are a terrible actor, you are less likely to be one requested by from one of those people you made a connection with.

  • @nbakiki23 i thought tht was how it was 4 female actors in the old days wen they had to "sleep wiv the right men" to get into the industry

  • @nbakiki23 yep, same with the music industry

  • @nbakiki23 that is not true at all. You get your connections from doing good performances. A lot of famous actors start out by doing well in a short film that was advertised in the newspaper or internet.

  • @nbakiki23 if your passionate about it.. you´ll find connections...

  • i would love to start auditioning for the theater but i have no acting experiance what so ever, i dont know how to! help!

  • join the club... but like they say, Acting is less of a business than other jobs You would find, so as long as you are passionate, and you know how to network, You should do great.

  • Well, in most auditions, you must come prepared with a song and a monolog. For stage performances, usually a piece from the script is already picked out and all you need is good reading comprehension. Everyone starts with no experience, but by trying new things, and getting out there, even if just a small role, those events help greatly and start to build up.

  • goach i want to be an actress but i dont know what to do help me please

  • it's like anything else, 21nada... you take some classes, get some training, go to some auditions, start accepting small parts to build your resume. Virtually no one becomes a working professional actor without classes and training.

  • but you see its not about being a proffecional or anything. the only thing i have a problem with is how could i get an agent

  • If you have training, have your headshots and resume ready, and have some experience, contact local agents in your area and discuss it with them.

  • Im thinking of being an extra firstly to get used to the camera and see how the industry works and that i make sure i watch a lot of movies to see how each actor portrays the character and all that, but i dont know im only 14 should i wait a while longer until i know more about it. x

    advice plz xx

    p.s Good Vid xx

  • @XMultiSexGoddess

no you should get into it as early as possible im 15 and i m training to be a martial arts actor...

get as much exp. as possible

  • Thank Youu

I will deffo get more experience at it now cos time goes real quick when you think about it xx

  • @XMultiSexGoddess

Heh. I'm doing the same thing, watching how actors portray their characters and most of all how good do they act and what can I learn from them so I can be a good one as well.

  • thx that was really helpful! but i live in japan and there aren't many acting classes in tokyo...

  • try looking fo a theathre instead they may hold classes also

  • this helped =)

  • i really wanna become an actress too...

  • I'm exactly the same as elitecssplayer, Jason statham is one of my favourites. If you got back to elite can you give me the same advice. JJ 13

  • Ahh, acting is awesome.... so are they.

  • yeah i can do all those thing i just need to find my confidence

  • All my life I've wanted to be a Famous Actor like Jason Statham, A spy, and in the ARMY. The ARMY really isn't my thing as much as Acting and Espionage.

(Acting) So all you really have to do is HAVE Experience and a resume and hope to be hired for those great action movies in Hollywood? Correct? Is that really all? I know getting experience takes a long time (How long untill I can be a actor like Jason?)

    Thanks

Cole Boyko - 15 Years Old.

    Please message back... someone.

  • @elitecssplayer Are you in it for the fame or the love of the craft? Acting isn't something you can just pick up on and boom your good at it. It takes alot of time and alot of work. ALOT. I've been in three plays and am currently working on another one right now. Acting is a gift. If you don't have the origional tool then you can't sharpen that tool, polish it, and use it to it's maximum efficency. Acting takes time, patience, sweat, and sometmes tears. It's very hard but very rewarding.

  • Do you think im an idiot? wow

  • You asked for a reply. I replied. That's all.

  • thanks for the vid ;) i´m gonna do just that ;)

  • holy shit ego booster much. lol.jk

  • good luck. Im going to be doing the same

  • luck ;)

  • Same here! I was six when I started now I am 17. Good luck. =)

  • good luck man, me too! :)

  • Very interesting...!!! good advices ...

  • I'm 13 and I'm going to start taking lessons in September then I'm going to go to a theater I'm so excited I cant wait I love acting!

  • I know this other place you can find castings. Actually, 2 casting websites! ExploreTalent is a really good one! They write what roles are needed and what the actors should look like for the role. For example, they have castings for Eclipse (Twilight Saga). They need a hispanic woman in her mid-20s to play Maria. That's a great website to check out.

Also, TalentHunter is really good too.

  • Hopefully you do voiceovers. Great voice.

  • any tips hot to write acting CV??????

  • I'd rather listen to this guy than "some homefilming loser"

  • im in the theater industry here in the philippines..im a theater artist.and i hope you could comment on our shows..thats the kati ang pinag mulan ng alamat:> im regiemar..you could also watch the other videos in the profile of xianex

  • RICHARD!!!

    You are soooo convincing!

First I wanted to be an actor, when i was a child...but now, while you were talking a voice said "you must". Thank you. You gave me power to to everything to become an actor!

  • I've only short films for a director friend. Great times. I've been told I'd be good for character acting. Which is good, because its all I'd want.

  • I plan on going to film school when I graduate from high school, and take some acting workshops.
