Windows Vista Tip - Controlling the Sidebar

Yes, at the time I was a beta tester, I used Vista Ultimate.

I've tried to run the gadgets without the sidebar but no can do. Apparently I should be able to. It would be useful because the sidebar actually does slow the puter down :(
