So nice to see normal teenagers, young adults who are famous and for a normal reason. :) That they actually have talent :) US should show this one of its faces more often. :)
@90Lolland Yeah, but they have this weird lisp or something... it's weird. And yes they do have a giant accent, like I do. I'm sure they find mine as grating as I find theirs lol
@SomethingStupide At least they pronounce the German words a lot better than most Americans do. But of course you still hear that they probably don't know German.
@msjoejonas12341 Obviously the real ones. I don't know about you but I don't ever recall Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer marrying and having children.
@Frickis The family has been living in the US since the original "trapp family" (the one the movie "the sound of music" was about) moved from Austria to the US at the start of World War 2.
@andrescubamusico You will notice they had microphones attached to the front of their clothes, as well as the microphones they're singing in to, which is why the breathing is 'enhanced'. Normally they would only sing into the floor microphones, and you would not hear the breathing. They're trained singers and have sung for years.
they may have trained for years but one of the first things you get taught in singing is don't stop to take a breath half way through a phrase and they do... often. If it's one time it could be an accident but they do it so often
These are extraordinary young people with an extraordinary gift and heritage. They are beautiful inside and out. A treasure. They sing like angels. I'm proud to know our forebears came from the same Austrian city I 'd be so proud if we were actually related.
@badvampirecrazy They are the granchildren of the boy that Kurt (the youngest boy) was based on. I think his real name was Hedwig. Their start in professional singing was when they made a recording to send to him.
These Kids are truly gifted and yet like regular normal teens. They were friends with my children and all home schooled sharing many activities. My daughter was particular friends with Sophie, since we lived only two miles apart in Montana. Both our homes resembled Austrian chalets. Very good kids and very special talent. Nice to see them honoring their heritage and traditions of fine music.

Great singers but they speak with a strange accent... at first I thought they were foreign born. They almost speak like some Amish folks I've met.
