Well, I've started playing a recorder in feb'2007, switched to tinwhistle at may'2007, this video is from jan'2008. So it took a year to learn to play it like that.
If you practice every day (as any musician should), you will be able to play that reel after 2-3-4 months of learning. But that's not an easy one, you'd better start from some simpler stuff.
There's only one tip I can give you: practice. Practice a lot. Music is all about wanting to be better in it.
That´s pretty good, good you can keep steady rhytm - and I think you´re definitely over period of beginnership. Only thing I´d add there is speed,but it will come with time
