  • This was an exhibition of profound genius that will probably not be given the recognition that it should receive. So allow me to facilitate that process to the extent that one YouTube comment can. Your dedication to your elegantly poeticized philosophical treatise is clear from your self-induced cachexia. But it is more than just evidence of sincerity: it is part of the poetic message itself, which touches on indisputably universal human themes of mortality, identity, fate, free-will...Bravo!

  • @EsperBlue Thank you greatly for watching and for the critique! -Mark

  • hi can u tell me whats the best settings for neoscene to get that awesome quality?

  • @thatniggbeme7 Hi there. I used NeoScene just for the nature shots which were shot with the Canon HV30 (the shot of the hawk, the deer shots, the ocean, etc.). I believe I used the .MOV setting at the highest quality with the inverse telecline 24p. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching. -Mark

  • Dude...i think i'll go slit mine and a buddies wrists now...

  • @purefire121290 I appreciate you taking the time to watch the film, but it seems you missed the point I tried to convey. This is not a film that encourages suffering, but rather one that addresses it. This is a film that works to identify the causes of suffering and how we as a human race, at times, seem to shelter ourselves from the truth, possibly as a result of fear...fear that our idea of so called “happiness” is in reality a masked version of our concealed suffering. Continued...

  • @purefire121290 …Such a thing is exemplified daily by escapism…whether it is through the use of alcohol, drugs, or by something as seemingly innocent as sacrificing one’s dignity or moral value to be part of the norm. It is a film that contrasts such suffering with what I feel to be the ultimate source of beauty in its purest form: the natural world that surrounds us all. The world is a beautiful place, my unknown friend. Life is worth living. Thank you again for watching. -Mark

  • @MarkFaragFilms

How and why? That's just unhealthy!

Did this movie screen at a theater or something? Are you making big bucks for this? I don't see why anyone would put their health on the line for an indie flick.

  • @BenHughesStudios Firstly, thank you for taking the time to watch the film. Why did I lose the weight? I felt it was necessary in order to accurately portray the character I envisioned when I was writing the poem/script. I felt it would not only be less effective if I shot the film at my normal weight, but it would also be almost hypocritical in a sense as it would contradict what the character stands for. Continued...

  • @BenHughesStudios ...How did I lose the weight? I gradually cut down my food intake until I was down to about 250 calories a day. No, the movie isn't being screened at a theater (not yet, at least) and I'm not making big bucks, but I knew this would be the case before taking on the project. For the record, I did consult a physician prior to losing the weight and did it in what I consider the healthiest way one can go about it. Thanks again for watching. -Mark

  • @MarkFaragFilms

Wow, talk about dedication. Hopefully you can gain back your weight after this. I suggest you start with a few KFC Double down sandwiches from heaven.

  • Really well done, man.

    Awesome

  • @pjography Thanks for taking a look, PJ. -Mark
