i have followed this man very curiously on youtube and on tv channel...I like the fact about this man that he never "critisize" or "praise" any religion....he only says what is written in scriptures of hindu, chrisitian, jeuse and muslims...very inteligent and Polite man...many hindu and christians "Vidwaan"(intellectual body) amzed by him bcz he spoke the facts written in their scriptures which they cudn't understand.i like his facts of "Scientific miracles of Quran"...

and lastly I would request Zakir Naik, not to map hinduism on terms of Islam because both of them are very different.Islam has very less literature and philosophy to explain the reason of any decision of Prophet.There may be good things in quraan but not explained in depth. as in hindu scriptures.because of his ignorance to differences he low grades much of verses of hindu scriptures. and most people don't understand this...

I need to dislike this coz... He is directly supporting his religion here. Well, eating meat is in someone personal interest. Some people don't eat meat not only of religion. And Hindus believing on not eating meat help to protect animal in the world and give them freedom. We all know, you are great person but you can't compare and dis-satisfied those who don't like it.
I have read all ch. of e of my life manusmriti in early ag but i never tried to eat meat .Because i do not like to eat corpses either of animals or of anything else.Hindu dharma is eternal dharma , in my family no one eat meat and i am following that tradition .It is the basic requirement of eternal religion. Beacause of it is sanathan dharma. and manusmriti is not a quote book .Quote must be with context. Moreover only those ancestors should be offered meat who have been meat eaters.

Zakir Naik is no expert on Hinduism , he has just memorized a few verses and twists their meaning to prove himself right, sometimes he even changes entire words . Hinduism is the religion of the Rishis of India , Saints like Sri Ramanuja , Sri Chaitanya, Sri Swaminarayan etc have taught the knowledge of the vedas and have been accepted as Great Sages by all Hindus . But Mr.Naik gives his own meaning to vedic verses and negates all the Rishis of India ..This is very wrong & foolish as well

View of scripture differs between traditions, and there's quite a gap between Islam's view of it and Hinduism's.
Mr Naik has studied Hinduism just to quote in his speeches and debates. Most often he quotes Hindu scriptures just to establish Muslim superiority. He is no different than those fundamentalists who believe "Our" religion is best, "Our" God is more powerful and merciful and "Our" method of worship is correct.. pity on his intellectual level. He does not even know the basics of Hinduism and Hindu philosophy.
@kipchak007 I am quoting some verses from the same "manu smriti" chapter 5 shloka no 46, 51, 54, 56 etc. shloka no 56 means- man has a natural inclination towards consuming alcohol, meat and copulation, having a desire for them does not amount to sin. But being free from the three is beneficial. shloka no 51 means- One who promotes or supports non-vegetarianism, the butcher, one who sells or purchases meat, the one who cooks it, serves it or consumes it, are all destructive / vicious in nature.
Hinduism is a set of philosophy, not a set of rules and regulations. so you will find contradictions; Hinduism offers you the freedom to choose your own way for spiritual enlightenment basing upon your intellectual level. My father don't believe in ritualistic idol worship but my mother is exactly opposite. still they respect each other's way and ultimately both of these ways lead to the same goal "to be a good human". this is the real beauty and jest of Hinduism, Naik doesn't know this.

Manusmriti is self contrdictory text. Even in the verses he is refering, no two verses are similar. But he is right at the topic - "Hinduism is not against non - vegeterianism". This corruption of being against non - vegeterianism has come to us because of assimilation of Buddhism - modified over 3000 years of "human" "progress". More surprising is why people not even read Manusmriti are representing Hindus there in the discussion? Are they not insulting Hinduism by their ignorance?

Foolish Naik should understand that these are words of Manu not bhagwaan. If he is equating Adam with Allah then it is the height of foolishness. Second most important thing that in vedas no where it is mentioned in vedas that one should eat meat. Manu says this further that u can eat anything but this will decide ur karma. So u have freedom but also u have to pay for this.Regarding rigveda the verses have been not understood properly

I have read all ch. of e of my life manusmriti in early ag but i never tried to eat meat .Because i do not like to eat corpses either of animals or of anything else.Hindu dharma is eternal dharma , in my family no one eat meat and i am following that tradition .It is the basic requirement of eternal religion. Zakir Naik is no expert on Hinduism , he has just memorized a few verses and twists their meaning to prove himself right, sometimes he even changes entire words . Hinduism is the religion of the Rishis of India , Saints like Sri Ramanuja , Sri Chaitanya, Sri Swaminarayan etc have taught the knowledge of the vedas and have been accepted as Great Sages by all Hindus . @kallube1 Yup. Zakir Naik's problem is that he views the scripture of other religions as a Muslim, by which I mean to say that he understands other religious texts as if he is reading their "Qur'an". View of scripture differs between traditions, and there's quite a gap between Islam's view of it and Hinduism's.

Mr Naik has studied Hinduism just to quote in his speeches and debates. Most often he quotes Hindu scriptures just to establish Muslim superiority. He is no different than those fundamentalists who believe "Our" religion is best, "Our" God is more powerful and merciful and "Our" method of worship is correct.. pity on his intellectual level. He does not even know the basics of Hinduism and Hindu philosophy.

@kipchak007 I am quoting some verses from the same "manu smriti" chapter 5 shloka no 46, 51, 54, 56 etc. shloka no 56 means- man has a natural inclination towards consuming alcohol, meat and copulation, having a desire for them does not amount to sin. But being free from the three is beneficial. shloka no 51 means- One who promotes or supports non-vegetarianism, the butcher, one who sells or purchases meat, the one who cooks it, serves it or consumes it, are all destructive / vicious in nature.

My father don't believe in ritualistic idol worship but my mother is exactly opposite. still they respect each other's way and ultimately both of these ways lead to the same goal "to be a good human". this is the real beauty and jest of Hinduism, Naik doesn't know this.

Hinduism is a broad umbrella giving shelter to diverse no of ideologies set by diverse groups of saints. So one can easily find contradictions. However most of the ideologies agree at a common point that non-violence and compassion to animals is a better option.

Manusmriti is self contrdictory text. Even in the verses he is refering, no two verses are similar. But he is right at the topic - "Hinduism is not against non - vegeterianism". This corruption of being against non - vegeterianism has come to us because of assimilation of Buddhism - modified over 3000 years of "human" "progress". Bullshit, crap! Even Islam forbids consuming meat. It prohibits meat in and around Mecca. Considering the essence of this statement, it actually prohibits meat in out body, since every scripture has unanimously accepted human body as the Temple of God.

Foolish Naik should understand that these are words of Manu not bhagwaan. If he is equating Adam with Allah then it is the height of foolishness. Second most important thing that in vedas no where it is mentioned in vedas that one should eat meat. Manu says this further that u can eat anything but this will decide ur karma. So u have freedom but also u have to pay for this.Regarding rigveda the verses have been not understood properly
