Let's review. Dumbass pulls cutaway handle (and dumps it). Instructor saves Numbnuts by pulling ripcord so main is cleared for reserve. Reserve Static Line fails and Dipshit kicks other instructor in the face. Muppet then flails like a panzy for 1000ft and finally pulls reserve while on his back. Next, BumNugget could land anywhere but chooses powerlines, frying the reserve. Then goes on TV and blames his instructors. What's the balance sheet? Scott is a retarded jackass and should have died.
I agree with what u say, but if he JUST opened his parachute, being very low, it doesnt give you a whole lot of time to start turning and avoid the power lines... You havent been through a situation when you need your emergency parachute, obviously

Like you, I really hated the fact that he blames it on his instructors: "they didn't teach me what to do if there is no parachute after pull.." Yeah right, those 6 hours spent on the ground doing cutaway drills just passed through your numbnut brain! God I hate stupid people... Poor instructors :(

Talk about stupid, he pulled the wrong handle and then didn't have enough sense to actually pull his reserve ripcord. The guy is a complete idiot. I am glad he will never skydive again.

Natural selection has its way of weeding out the bad (in this case, increadibly stupid!) - it will catch up with him soon. He may say he's not jumping any more (thank god - if I bumped into him on a DZ I'd probably die of laughter) but it cant be long before he mistakes the brake pedal for the accelorator, or tries to cut his hair with a lawnmower, whilst flossing his teeth with a chainsaw!!!!

He did all he could to kill himself: cutaway his main canopy instead of pulling it, then forgets about the reserve handle until it gets pointed out to him by his instructor. And then to top it off he aims for power lines... He had at least 2000ft to steer his canopy AWAY from power lines. But you know what I'm sure he didn't know what power lines were in the first place!
