  • in the heat of the night is better than the graduate and bonnie & clyde in every way

  • I *strongly* disagree with: "The Hurt Locker", "An American in Paris" and "How Green Was My Valley". (All great films and very good choices their respective years). I sort of disagree with "Life of Emile Zola" and "Shakespeare in Love" (I'm fine with them, don't find them at all offensive). I agree with the rest which I've seen. Special kudos for including "Rocky". I know a lot of people love that movie but I think it's way overrated and considering its competition, it's a godawful win.

  • I still don't understand why Shakespeare in Love and Gwyneth Paltrow won the oscar that year... x.x

  • Saving Private Ryan??? Buhahahahaha!

Shakespeare in Love or The Thin Red Line!!!

    Avatar? Buhahahahaha!

    Inglourious Basterds!!!

  • Shakespeare In Love beating Saving Private Ryan was a joke.

  • and your opinion is valid...why?

  • Three most memorable Best Picture snubs EVER:

    Citizen Kane

    Pulp Fiction

    Dr. Strangelove

    All should have won.

  • @MinamuTV I think ET should've won, too. Gandhi had a great Oscar-worthy performance from Ben Kingsley, but was nothing special in any other regards. ET is an extraordinary one of a kind; a film with so much heart & charm that I've still never seen anything like it. ET will never get old & will be loved throughout the generations to come, Gandhi will never have that kind of longevity. ET is a masterpiece:FACT

  • The worst mistakes they made was not giving the Oscar to Raging Bull(1980), Goodfellas(1990) and Pulp Fiction(1994).

  • hurt locker>avatar. oh and goodfellas>dances with wolves.

  • I don't understand why people hate Crash so much? I thought it was good and better than Brokeback Mountain? What was so good about Brokeback Mountain beside its hip subject matter?

  • @canuck21 Crash wasn't a better film than Brokeback Mountain & I don't think the Academy thought so either. You got to remember Brokeback dominated every other major award ceremony in the build up to the Oscars & Ang Lee walked off with 'Best Director' which nearly always assures their film will go on to win 'Best Picture' too, but it didn't happen in this case for some reason & I think the reason was Hollywood lost their bottle in regards to offering a gay cowboy movie their highest accolade.

  • @ardbastard1 Crash was a better movie to me. I simply don't get the appeal of Brokeback Mountain. That movie didn't do anything to me. IMO, its subject was as much a gimmick as Avatar.

  • @canuck21 Lives of individuals from different backgrounds intertwined by a series of events out of their control & having a profound effect on eachothers lifes, oh yeah, how original. Crash reeks of award-baiting desperation; it's a misery-fest with a cliched pay-off. Brokeback's beautifully shot, beautifully acted & even poetic. I was touched by Brokeback, personally. Tragic love stories are gimmicky? You must hate a hell of a lot of movies then. Capote was also a better film than Crash, btw.

  • @ardbastard1 Not that I find Crash amazing, but I still liked it better than Brokeback Mountain. Oh well, to each their own. I have yet to see Capote, but it looks interesting. Thanks for mentioning it, I'll put in in my to-watch list.

  • @canuck21 Np, I enjoy engaging in a bit of heated debate on opposing film opinions. Too many people misinterpret it as hostility & start getting personal, so I'm glad to talk to someone who can take it with a pinch of salt & express their opinion without getting shitty.:) Yeah, watch Capote, it's a wonderful film. The story is powerful, the cinematography is gorgeous & Phillip Seymour Hoffman - who won the 'Best Actor' Oscar that year - gives one of the greatest performances of the decade.

  • CRASH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, TOTALLY disagree, that was an incredibly deserving Oscar winner for Best Picture. AND you left Out "The Color Purple" instead of "Out of Africa", they robbed "The Color Purple" of winning BEst Picture for 1985.

  • All good except STRONGLY DISAGREE on Gandhi and Hurt Locker!

Gandhi is a master piece and absolutely deserved that award.

Avatar, Yes it was a box office extravaganza, but IMO didn't even deserve to be nominated as best picture.

  • A Beautiful Mind dominated Lord of The Rings...

  • Crash is a movie which only blondes dont understand ! Thumbs up if you are not a Blonde !

  • Avatar?! Are you kidding me?! Two and a half fours of faux environmentalist cliche written ny a man boy with no writing sense. It represents everything that is bad about modern graphic animation and strives to push film in the wrong direction. You let yourself down there, Jason.

  • @ThisIsNasville1 And yet he still has one of the best movie channels out there. Stop hating just because you don't agree with his taste. I bet top dollar you went to see Avatar in the theaters in 3D like every other schumuck and then waited to see Hurt Locker on DVD. Figures.

  • Avatar was good. Y'all are tripping. It has good spiritual value to it.

  • The Hurt Locker clearly deserved the oscar. Period.

  • Crash, the worst best picture ever? My god i cannot believe what you have just did here!

  • The Artist should be on that list, Hugo was way better, and also Inglourious Basterds should had won insteas of the Hurt Locker

  • Avatar should have won? I could've written that script when I was 6 years old, that's like saying bread is worse than dog crap

  • Inglorious Basterds should have won over The Hurt Locker...

  • i really liked crash, it's sad that the oscars had to make sean penn win an oscar instead of mickey rourke just for fear of seeming homophobic after not making the mediocre "brokeback mountain" win.

  • I totally disagree. The worst Oscar Winner of all time for Best Picture is "Around The World In 80 Days". I think "The King & I" should have won.

  • @mulcahysgirl I agree - Around The World In 80 Days is a pretty poor choice as a 'Best Picture' winner. I hate these biased opinions people give because they just seem to judge it on the more recent recipients like Chicago & Crash just on the basis that they've actually seen those films, but they totally dismiss older winners which were much worse films like Cimarron, The Greatest Show on Earth, Going My Way etc. because they are likely have not seen them, these judgements are ignorant, IMO.

  • @mulcahysgirl I have Around the World in 80 Days, its just not number 1.

  • @JasonMovieGuy damn bro, good goddamn editing and video production, love how you introduced the subject with one of its strongest examples, S in love beating SPR, THEN the graphics into the montage accompanied by good still from each film ...classy shit

  • where is chicago over the pianist?

  • Avatar is worst than the hurt locker,District 9 and inglorious bastards are better

  • This is an incredibly funny video! The crowd reactions, sound affects, and the song at the end are hilarious! Thanks for putting this together.

  • I agree on all except Rocky. It is a cultural icon.

  • Truman Show should have sweeped. But alas. Sometimes the judges don't know a true gem when its standing right in front of them.

  • Avatar sucked. It was the exact same story as Pocahontas, but not as interesting.

Bearback Mounting over Crash? How about saying: There will be no Best Picture this year as these movies suck more than suck sucks.

Shakespeare in Love was a yawner, though.

  • Overall, a very solid list. I hate Spielberg (as a person, not director) so I am glad Saving Private Ryan lost...but only for vindictive reasons. And thank you for saying that Ordinary People deserved to win over Raging Bull. Ordinary People is a far superior film to Raging Bull in every single aspect. Only pathetic manly men and meat heads (which often accompany each other) think that Raging Bull deserved to beat one of the most touching films ever. Oh, and I love Scorsese, but hate the film.

  • I agree 100% with Crash being the worst winner of all time. Missing from the list is Oliver in 1968 - the winner should have been The Lion in Winter. And in 1952 I would have said Singing in the Rain instead of that circus movie.

  • E.T over Gandhi?

  • I also agree that The hurt locker is not best picture material. The movie is alright but too overrated. Although, I would not give it to Avatar either. And I must say that, yes, Ordinary People is a fantastic movie.

  • At first, I looked at this and I could only think 'ridiculous, ridiculous, idiotic'. shakespeare in love is not that bad to be one of the worst, but I must say that The thin red line is the one that should have one. However, little did I expect that I couldn`t agree more with the first place on the list. Shocking, because that is my number 1 worst best picture too. congrats for this! Crash is a 6/10 movie, tops. Allowing it to beat Brokeback Mountain was just cowardice from the academy members.

  • @limafilho27 Can I find your official Crash review which you claim is 6/10 on any movie review website because you deserve an award for your OUTSTANDING criticism. Jackass.

  • You are an absolute fucking idiot.

  • @aeros320 Takes one to know one, so I guess you would know...fucking idiot.

  • @fusock totally agree. That guy is a fucking idiot. haha

  • @fusock totally agree. That guy is a fucking idiot. haha

  • Also I am in love with Lord of the Rings, but A beautiful Mind is a beautiful movie and can also be placed as best picture, for god sakes they knew that return of the king was down the road, they knew it was going to win. Three years in a row of LOTR, wouldnt quite work.

  • crash is a perfectly fine social commentary on race and how the interact respect and disrespect each other. Brokeback Mountain may have been better, but calm down it is not like they gave it a cheezy horrible movie that makes you throw up everytime you watch it. Quit over reacting.

  • Gigi deserved its win over Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The Hurt Locker ANY DAY over Avatar. Ghandi deserved it too. ET might be a classic but it is NO way better acted or directed than Ghandi. Period.

  • "This is a movie about life and art, and art and life combining is called magic".

This is a movie about piss and shit, and shit and piss combining is called sewage. And that's what your movie was. Raw sewage.

  • How in the Hell did Citizen Kane and Giant not win Best Picture? How in the Hell am I just finding out about this NOW?!? I love those movies! I guess I just always assumed that they had won. What a joke.

  • Avatar are you kidding me? such shit

  • District 9 should have beaten both Avatar and the Hurt Locker.

  • @mortman200 In my opinion: The Hurt Locker or

Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire

  • @romulopantojarj I thought Precious was pretty good, but I get the feeling that the only reason The Hurt Locker was nominated was because it was directed by James Cameron's Ex Wife, and they wanted to make an underdog story of the Oscars, with the independent war film going up against the 500 Million Dollar Blockbuster.

  • @mortman200 Totally agree.

  • Harrison Ford sounded so bored for Shakespeare in Love. And the boos were incredible.

  • Avatar? Do you mean Pocahontas meets The Smurfs?

  • @Kmeistergeneral kkkkk

  • @Kmeistergeneral More like "Dances With Wolves" meets Blue Man Group.

  • AVATAR and SPR not winning are the worst moments that i have seen at the oscars

  • Ford's face said it all

  • love the song in the beginning though! :)

  • OMG were ppl actually booing like that??? XDD

  • Hell-to-the-fucking NO Avatar did not deserve to win. Hurt Locker earned that hands down!!!

  • You left out "Gladiator."

  • 71 people like this video b/c they like Don Henley.

  • Avatar does not deserve to win! But I do agree with the "Shakespears in Love" and "Crash" jokes

  • number one would have to be ordinary people winning over raging bull. fellowship definitely should have one, that was a great movie, and hasn't aged much at all. very exciting to watch.

brokeback mountain is a beautiful film, when they gave it to crash I stopped watching or caring about the academy awards. if bill murray had won over sean pean for lost in translation, I would have a little more respect for them.

oh, and how about blade runner?

great vid, quite well done. although avatar, no.

  • Most choices I agree with.

One thing for sure: that 'Shakespeare In Love' won over 'Saving Private Ryan' was staggering.

  • A little bit over the top, I must say that I somewhat disagree with that analysis. Great way for you to gain some attention though.

  • I agree with a lot of the list, but Avatar winning? That's bullshit

  • crash was amazing. definitely deserved to win

  • @TheDaymanvsnightman That's because you are a homophobe

  • I'm agree Crash is the worst Oscar winner picture but "The Hurt Locker", "Gandhi", "In the Heat of the Night" should won... What about Best actor, for start Mickey Rourke's performance in "The Wrestler" should won...

  • @Halfstrom sean penn in milk was probably the performance of the decade.

  • why didn't Saving Private Ryan win?

  • @zero1hero7 because of a-hole voters in the academy

  • uuum... I agree with most of your choices. I wouldn't have included The Hurt Locker. And I would've made "Dances with Wolves" beating "Goodfellas" number 1.

  • There are a few of these choices that I totally disagree with. First off, I always watch "Rocky" more often when it's on, then "Network", "Taxi Driver" and/or "All The President's Men", so that proves to me which movie was best...for me. Second, I couldn't stand "Avatar" even though I give much praise to Cameron for his innovative technology.

Hollywood is a whole 'nother world anyway... Most of the people there are so out of touch, it's not even funny!

  • @mrfunderful Taxi Driver was my personal favourite of 1976, but let's face it, that was never gonna be the winner. I think it should've gone to All The President's Men not Rocky mind. I've also seen Rocky more than the others, but then that's because it's an easier to watch, fun, popcorny & more optimistic film than the rest but that doesn't mean it was the best film. The hardest call in Oscar history, for me, has to be 2007: No Country For Old Men & There Will Be Blood - both masterpieces.

  • lol @ Avatar "Should have won". District 9!

  • @Anth150 this.

  • Crash was inferior to both Brokeback Mountain & Capote in 2005, I don't know what happened that year. However I don't think Crash was the worst winner ever, there's been a few films that deserve to go above that. The Bing Crosby schmaltz-fest that was Going My Way is the worst winner in my opinion.

  • @ardbastard1 Oh that is a bad movie (Going my way)

  • Btw Pulp Fiction should have won in 94 NOT Shawshank redemption

  • Avatar is the cancer of the artform called film making. Its so bad I want to kill myself everytime i hear the dreadfull name Avatar

  • @airHaakon Its the phantom menace of james cameron movies

  • I agree that

    A Streetcar Named Desire

    Citizen Kane

    Saving Private Ryan

    should have one best picture

  • wow...you can see Jack was like "whoa wait...did I read that right?" right before he announced Crash. Not to mention the audible gasp coming from the crowd

  • I was just glad that Titanic and Gladiator wasn't on here! lol but to be honest, yes I was not fond of Crash but I am gay and honestly, I wasn't that fond of Brokeback Mountain. I personally think Capote or Munich should have won that, that;s just my opinion. No disrespect to anyone else's what so ever.

  • Two disagreements: ET has not aged well, and Tootsie is all but forgotten (ask someone to list Hoffman's great performances, and I doubt Tootsie gets mentioned ahead of Graduate, President's Men, Kramer, or Rain Man.

I hold that the greatest slight in Oscar history was "Oliver!" winning ahead of an un-nominated "2001: A Space Odyssey". "Oliver!" is among the most forgettable Oscar winners of the last 50 years, and "2001" is usually listed on any greatest films list.

  • @TeganX7 The Lion in Winter was also great that year and I would have given that a slight nod ahead of 2001

  • Gandhi featured a tour de force performance by Ben but was too dumbed down as a movie. Forman's direction was mediocore at best, he dumbed down the movie to try and grab an audience for a movie he knew would have trouble grabbing ticket sales. ET & Tootsie are both classics, Gandhi isn't. Worst pick ever was Ordinary People over Raging Bull.

  • best thing in this video... Meryl Streep at 3:09

  • You think Avatar was a better movie than Hurt Locker?

You think Avatar was a good movie?

You think Avatar should have won Best Picture?

Avatar was an unmitigated disaster that was only nominated because it cost half a billion dollars to make. The only thing that saves Avatar from being the worst Best Picture nominee ever is the fact that Inception was nominated in the next year.

  • @fatmanfalling Titanic was an unmitigated disaster. Avatar was a strong film.

  • @TeganX7 Avatar had a script a 7 year old could have written better.

It had a gross overuse of CGI.

The art direction was an absolute nightmare.

The facial motion capture they used on the human actors put the human portions of the film strait into the uncanny valley. (The Na'vi did animate beautifully though)

Some of the most Blaze acting I've ever sat through.

And (paradoxically) one of the most retarded and at the same time predictable battle scenes ever forced upon an audience.

  • @fatmanfalling You haven't any idea what you're talking about. You are trying to be a bit overly-critical to sound intelligent but you just sound pretentious. Avatar is one of those revolutionary films that come along very, very rarely. The film-industry thrives on films like Avatar. It's a film that grossed nearly 3 BILLION DOLLARS & it was inarguable an astounding visual experience. Hurt Locker was the correct winner, but Avatar was still a breathtaking, groundbreaking & amazing achievement.

  • @ardbastard1 Making lots of money doesn't make a film good.

People probably liked it more because the story was so simple it had to ride the short bus. The script lacks any kind of complexity, and yet it's still full of glaring plot holes.

And is it "revolutionary" because it popularized 3D? 3D adds nothing to the movie.

The movie is ugly. The technology is impressive, but Avatar was ugly. I mean, they do close up shots on CGI human faces.

    Avatar was breathtakingly awful maybe.

  • @fatmanfalling Don't try to over-analysing what I said. At what point did I say you can measure how good a film is on its box-office take? It was a simple story &, yes, that is why people liked it. I saw Avatar in an IMAX theatre & it was stunning. Whether gimmicky or not, the full visual-experience that Cameron was trying project valued greatly from the PROPER use of 3D technology - as did Scorses's Hugo recently. Avatar wasn't an ugly film. No way. The script isn't the best though, I agree.

  • @ardbastard1 Avatar to me is just a movie to sell more 3-D equipment. I dislike this movie more than most because at least others enjoy the visual art. I hated this hippy-like art, it's just not my cup of tea. I found the aliens ugly as heck. If only I liked the visual aspect of the movie, I may have a better appreciation of the it. Aside the special effects, the rest was awful. Can you find a worse cliché'd charatcer than the villain?

  • @ardbastard1The was Hugo used 3D was just distracting. Putting snowflakes and chairs randomly in front of the action. I didn't see Avatar in 3D, the 2D version lacked all depth of field. If it's significantly better in 3D that's not a point in it's favor. 3D is a gimmick movies are better off with out. And when I say "ugly" I mean from an art direction standpoint, like the Star Wars Prequels. The graphics were good, (except for the human faces.) Avatar was ascetically displeasing.

  • @fatmanfalling Each their own I guess because I enjoy 3D technology when it's used correctly i.e., with 3D recording equipment & not digitally added in the editing suite. Also, I find it hard to believe that anybody could've watched the night scenes in the forests of Pandora in IMAX 3D & not fallen in love with the strikingly beautiful, vibrant sight of bioluminescent lifeforms that overwhelm the screen; I was mesmerized.

  • @ardbastard1 IMO, Avata is only a gimmick. One of the most cliché'd movies I've ever seen. I also hated the visual art. Only the 3-D effect was interesting.

  • did people really boo like that lol

  • Shakespeare in Love was such a horrible movie. Same goes for Rocky, Network should have won that year. Ghandi was the best film that year, I believe it deserved to win. And same goes for Crash, I think that was a better film than Brokeback Mountain. And it wasn't mentioned here, but Gladiator was also a huge let down for best picture, it should have gone to Traffic that year.

  • I agree "Crash" was quite a bad movie. I saw it and it did not make any impression on me whatsoever. I think the selection was doctored. And yes, BM should have won best picture that year.

  • You're the reason I don't think everyone should be allowed to voice their opinion publicly.

  • @mautnerfilms Even though his video has thousands of hits and his channel shows his knowledge of film. Youre the reason many people stay virgins. Jasonmovieguy- don't let these haters take you down, and its generally agreed that Shakespeare in love and Crash are noted as the worst best picture winners ever.

  • have you even seen crash??? This movie is one of the best ever made, so shut the f*** up!!!!!

  • Avatar? over Hurt Locker? are you crazy! Hurt Locker was cinematic brilliance whereas Avatar was Smurfahontas in 3D. No 3D films should ever win best picture

  • @izzyxallegro then in a couple of years, there won't be any best pictures I guess. Although, I think only IMAX 3D movies should win when it comes to 3D movies and Avatar was also a cinematic brilliance in terms of outstanding technological developments and it did win those awards. I did not see Hurt Locker.

  • @dgyorki how will there be no best picture award? i didnt realise the film had to be in 3D to win it. Plus i dont see why there is any need for the technological developments that Avatar produced, since they made a big deal about it all there has been is a ridiculous amount of totally unnecessary films being released in 3D when they could have done a better job in their 2D version. Films should spend more money on better scripts and better actors rather than better effects

  • Gladiator and Cimmaron were the worst best picture winners of all time!

  • @bleachbred are u on drugs?

  • @eamber729 No I am not. I stand by what I said.

  • Lol! This was so funny!

  • I thought Crash was good :O and I don't saw Brokeback Mountain because it's a friking gay porn movie... I don't blame the actors because I heard that Heath Ledger was amazing and I am not against the gays saw Milk and I loved it. an d finaly Hurt Loker has his place for the Oscar.

  • Sorry but A Beautiful Mind Is so much better then Lord Of The Ring :O

  • And Inglorious Basterds should have won over Avatar and The Hurt Locker, anyhow.

  • @MATTDROE AGREE!

  • Avatar was horrible. Gandhi is far better than E.T., but Tootsie was of equal quality. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre was brilliant, but Hamlet is a classic. Network should have won over Rocky, which I consider overhyped garbage in comparison. Giant was better than Around the World in 80 Days. Fellowship was't as good as A Beautiful Mind. A Streetcar Named Desire should have won. Citizen Kane should have won. Shakespeare in Love and Saving Private Ryan are both overhyped. Crash was amazing.

  • LOL AVATAR SUCKS DICK

  • AVitar was just and effects piece thats it its veary overrated and who cares it has and ass load of cash give other movies a bones . also E.T was just alright ghandi was about somthing.could you give a reason why theys movies should have won out of curosity ?of corse you can plead the 5 im just wondering

  • ¡¡¡Avatar is shit!!!

  • Avatar? really? Cameron ,most certainly a fantastic director,Avatar ,a fabulous computer generated movie, but epic?I enjoyed the movie, but this is the reason that people like us fortunately do not get an Oscar vote.Have to agree on Crash, interesting but not the years best.don't bogart that joint!

  • ...Crash...

  • no disagree with avatar. hurt locker was great. avatar wasnt so deep, touching, meaningful etc

  • I really have to agree with The Greatest Show On Earth. What a stinker.

  • 06. "Citizen Kane" (1941) beyond the words; "Saving Private Ryan" (1998) was completely robbed! And the "Crash" (2004) thing...Speechless!

Greetings and thanks for the videos!

  • 05. "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951) and "A Place in the Sun" (1951) were the best of the year.

  • 04. "Network" (1976) was the best without a doubt. "A Beautiful Mind" (2001) is a great film, but if I have to choose another one over it, I'd choose "In the Bedroom" (2001) or "Gosford Park" (2001).

  • 03. "Gandhi" (1982) deserved its award. "E.T." (1982), really? I really enjoyed "Hamlet" (1948). "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967) was the Best Picture of the Year.

  • 03. I totally agree with you when you say that "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (1958) was way much better than "Gigi" (1958), which is a good movie, really colorful and etertaining, but just that!

  • @HJGO1990r totally, cat on a hot tin roof is the sh**, elizabeth taylor, hellz yah

  • 02. In the case of "The Hurt Locker" (2008) I think "Inglourious Basterds (2009) was a superb film, the best of all!

  • 01. That didn't happen when "Shakesperare in Love" (1998) won Best Picture, it happened when Elia Kazan received an Honorary Oscar.

  • @HJGO1990r Obviously that didn't happen, but if you caught on this is a COMEDY video and the editing is superb!

  • Crash is brilliant. I hate E.T. so I can't agree with you there. Haven't seen Shakespeare in Love, but I'm not a huge fan of Saving Private Ryan either

  • Beautiful Mind was a great movie... but I agree with all the other choices.

  • sorry bro but the hurt locker was better than avatar. i do agree with taxi driver though.

  • jack nicholson is awesome

  • what about the departed???!!! that movie shouldnt have won!!!!

  • @shillabarquet overrated.

  • I honestly thought I was going to come in here in violent disagreement with you, especially when Gandhi and the Hurt Locker were on your list, but when I saw that you thought Giant deserved the oscar, I must say, you gained my respect. Its one of my favorite films of all time.

  • Shakespeare in Love kicks ass. One of the most cleverly written screenplays ever.

  • I stopped watching when Avatar "should have won"

  • @BigLouMayne - A true "work of art" is something that incomposes all aspects of art itself. And Avatar did that. Make-up design, Story boards, Sketches, Painted stills, CGI, Model designs, Script writing, and Shooting. What was the hurt locker? Point and shoot? That is something that has been done since the early age of film. So I agree. Avatar deserved more than The Butt Locker.

  • @BigLouMayne thank you how could some one like that movie it was god awefule and it was stuped

  • @BigLouMayne I stopped watching when I read this comment, so that's something.

  • Completely apples and oranges arbitrary choices. And no shock at all that you like Brokeback over Crash. Neither film was especially "best" anything, but Brokeback only had camera work going for it and an "issue" celebritards wanted to get behind, so to speak. There is nothing wrong with Rocky either. Shakespeare In Love was a fun flick exaggerating they myth of the literate Shakespeare to the hilt. The stock sound of booing was crazy.

  • Are you kidding me the hurt locker was one of the best films I have ever seen, Jeremy Reeners performance was breath taking. This goes to show how much we should appreciate our troops and their is no time for love & family and we take advantage of that

  • 0:16 ed harris priceless!!!!

  • did the audience actually BOO the makers of shakespeare in love? it wasn't the best but still..... ouch

  • AVATAR? jajajajaja... is the BEST SHIT that i've seen... and beautiful mind is a really good movie.. u have a TEEN tastes..

  • @bnmcfadden A Teen's taste? He said Lord of the Rings should have won, which is rightfully so! Lord of the rings LED the pack with 13 nominations in 2001, and was far better reviewed then A Beautiful Mind. So get your fucking facts straight before trying to diss the author who clearly knows more about film than the likes of a lame like you.

  • @fusock I love the Lord of the Rings, but a beautiful mind is also very good, something won, but definitely avatar is a big shit no doubt.. the worst movie ever..

  • i agreed with a few of your opinions, but Brokeback Mountain better than Crash??!!! I'm sry but that is insanity

  • @JasonMovieGuy The category is "Best Picture," not "Best Movie-going Experience"! A film like Gandhi may not be as good a moviegoing experience, but that isn't the category for which it won an Oscar and a(n excellent) movie like "Tootsie" did not.

  • Tootsie over Gandhi? Are you fucking serious?

  • of course that's the oscar
