Fraternities that don't haze are called "sororities." Hazing is not that bad. If your not tough enough to take it, then your not put out for it and that is what separates independents from greeks. It's like taking some shit now to be treated like royalty and being prepared for the rest of your life later. If they don't haze, it's not a true fraternity, and your getting nothing out of joining. Separates the tough from the weak, and the dominant male from the follower.
Watch the video "PLEDGE REDEO". It depicts the "26th annual pike pledge redeo at the U. of Minnesota. The pike pledges are made to strip naked and perform various silly and degrading acts. Like chase a pig. Then they are taken into a barn and sodomozied with a dildo and made to suck each others penises. Only one pledge refuses and leaves. As the chapter president, who is show leading the hazing, says "we all did it". Ritualized homosexuality has sadly long been a part of fraternity hazing
To: jkkstyle The videos in question are posted on line at hazehim.com. This criminal website pays $10,000 for these videos. The videos show pledges being sexually abused (in fact for the purchase to occurr apparently this is required). Many of these videos are obvious fakes. However some show the entire membership participating while the pledges are raped or forced to perform fellatio. Sometimes the members give a drunken fraternity chant. Perhaps some members are not aware
of what"s really going on. The fact that the video being made is going to be sold. By using facial recognition software and many manhours we identify those involved. These boys are so proud of their frats little attempt is made to cover anything up or hide who their are. We have had some success. We then notify the frats national headquarters, school officials, local law enforcement, the media, and since all chapters have websites. We obtain members names and with school directories
and other sources we learn their home addresses. We send a copy of the video to all members parents. Chapters who have sold their honor and the honor of their fraternity for this money include SAE, Pike, and more from Sigma Chi than any other as well as chapters from a number of other frats. While identifying them is difficult we wil succed and will take the actions aforementioned. These videos can be viewed for free at bitlord and other torrent sites. A trully disgusting and (continued)
disturbing example is "I JUST WANNA BE A SIGMA". Where a pledge who is a legacy but appears to be an obvious screw up is sodomized orrally and anally by four members. Do not pay for these videos. In most cases we believe the videos are made because of the money paid by this criminal website. In all cases coercion is involved. Even if just to be accepted into the frat. These are serious felonies. Any help in closing and prosecuting the monsters at this website would be welcomed.
hmmm Funny how these organizations are involved in tons and tons and TONS community based activities and do LOTS of good, but people continue to focus on the negative. Please understand that the negative does not outweigh the positive and that hazing is not pledging.
There is a difference between hazing and pledging. With pledging, every action has a specific purpose and is designed to produce positive results. Hazing is anything done in excess of that or anything done just for entertainment.
y haze....y break somebody down to the lowest point and then build them they you want to be. Y not build upon what they already have. Hazing is illegal and wrong even if they consent. There is no such thing as good hazing and if you look up the actual definition of hazing you will realize this. In order to draw you in, secret societies tell you that they don't haze but in fact their secrets are the hazing. There are non secret and non hazing fraternities out there. Do some research.
But some of us aren't dumb enough to subject ourselves to such humiliation. I've made strong bonds and wonderful friends on my own..sororities and fraternities are for insecure people looking to gain power over others.
@OMGImaViolinist lol not at all..u dont know anything about them or what they do until u join. so dont pass judgments about something u r not a part of..
I don't think so. I'm Belgian, and here, hazing is called "Baptème" (=batism) and every students groups called "cercle" (=circle) have to sign a chart that impose some rules . In Brussels, the University itself encourage students to do it. The baptème taking place during 2 weeks to 3 mounts. Come here and you'll understand what i mean.
all of these "hazing is bad and awful" videos are full of crap.....Everyone who undergoes these things do so because they WANT to...during my pledgeship I can't even count how many times "all this can stop if you just quit" was said....if they can't handle the hazing then they should just quit instead of ruining it for everyone
Agreed, you can always quit if you are doing like highschool or greek life things. Of course, it should be regulated to the extent where you can't die, but it's pretty much our choice. I knew it was going to happen with greek life, so I accept it, and dealt with it. If I didn't want to deal with it, I would have quit. Hell, even in the military you can quit out of bootcamp, (fail physical fitness test)
LOL. Anyone wanting to join one of these deserves all they get. From the hazing to the "Oh, they're part of a frat? Ha ha ha. I always knew he was an asshole". Yeah, the geek system....
I was in a fraternity for 2 years before depledging and transferring schools. My fraternity didn't haze per se. I was singled out for abuse because I used my body to get into the fraternity. I can take hard punches to my midsection and they enjoyed working me over. I "let" them do it but after 2 years of it I had enough. I also changed majors and transferred which ended the situation. I admit I let them to believe this behavior was okay but they took advantage of me.
pledgeship is not forced upon anyone. People who decide that they want to pledge do it because they want to earn their place in the fraternity and become part of a strong brotherhood.
I personally believe that some hazing is a good thing. I am in a fraternity and most of the stuff that I had to do actually brought my pledge class together. If you have never been through it then you have nothing to base your opinions on.
