I have tried the turnigy combo in the X1 but it did take several motors before 1 survived, this is still going now 1 year later...Turnigy v Tekin is chaulk and cheese the Tekin combo is far superior in every way...more horsepower, runs max 50degC, quieter and longer run times But, you can purchase 5 Turnigy setups for the price of 1 Tekin. If you're starting out on a budget you should take this into account...Good Luck.
how did you get the esc to stay in place without move and getting damaged . and how did you get the ezrun fan for the motor to fit the tekin rx8 motor 2250kv motor thanks plz get back to me plz
@janeybabes76....The ESCs are held in with "Velcro" brand velcro as it seems to be the strongest, for added assurance you can place 4 small match head size spots of zap on the velcro before sticking together :-) The EzRun fans w/heatsink on the RX8. I initially applied some gentle heat with the blow torch to the underside of the heatsink and simply formed the sink to the larger tekin motor can with heatsink glue I then placed 2 heavy duty zip ties around heatsink and motor for extra support :-)
i digg me hong nors lol

@mik1012 we're running 47/13 and for our driving conditions the temps are low and they run stable on 4s...
