Blur is the only reason I even thought about playing Brink. The cinematics are 50 times more epic than that shit game. And I Never get tired of using SWTOR cinematics in my video editing, they more than compliment the game. At 3:48 I teared up too. Just...amazing work!
does blur do all the graphics for every videogame? or do some companies have their own graphic progeams and autodesk is awesome i have it and i made so much things that can be used in a videogame!! mostly call of duty or greek mitholohy!!!!!!!!!
I want to work in studio the Blur ... But ... That will never happen(. People in the studio have the super skills. How they got them for me forever remain a mystery
It all depends on what you are used to. If you learned Max as your core modeling program than trying to operate maya will be quite confusing. Personally I don't like the maya interface. It's scattered and all over the place. Though I hear its a lot better than max when it comes to animating things.
To everyone that's saying things like "3DS Max pwns Maya!" or "Mudbox is horrible" or "Maya is better!":
Every piece of software whether it be Max, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox, MotionBuilder, or even Blender is more than capable of getting great results. Beyond that it's personal preference. I use Maya and Mudbox, but I recognize that Max and ZBrush are incredibly powerful. Stop being so biased and be more open to other things that are different.
@ParchmentTwiser : Its all in the mind and the hands of the artist .the tools do not matter...and those who do not understand this basic principle ,might as well as give up ever creating something meaningfull in 3D .
@ParchmentTwiser Agreed. Anyone that answer the question "What's is the BEST 3D Package", with a Single Word, is a potential Idiot.". The Answer is non-existent. Every Package has their cons and pros. I am a 3DSMAX User and i know the cons and pros of it. I am Learning Maya and Softimage just for curiosity and to someday use the good thing of thos packages too.
@ParchmentTwiser Hovewer, 3ds max is more for videogame-graphic while maya have more cool features for movies; also, mudbox is horrible when it comppared with zbrush, so there are still some software perferences.
@KenseyQuarantine Seeing as I wrote this six months ago, I now know that really ZBrush blows Mudbox out of the water. I also know that 3Ds Max is more used in the video game industry and Maya is used in film. But regardless both can get incredible results. It still drives me nuts when people are so arrogant and say that one particular program sucks or is terrible. Mudbox is still a great sculpting package and can get great results. It's ultimately the artist's use of the tools given to them.
@ParchmentTwiser No offense, but it looked alike you blame people who says somethink like "Sry guys imma have no money for zbrush so i modelled this in free blender so model looks like a shit".
As for me — modeling thing in max is about two times easier than in blender, thats why i bought max.
@EZbakeROFLcakes Excel vs publisher, more like fireworks vs photoshop. AND Maya wasn't under autodesk before, it was alias. Apparently both sides had fan clubs and have acknowledged each other as rivals, they ARE on the same field, just with minor differences. :) hope it helps :D
@AlphaKrizz What's the difference between Blur's Work and the Production of 'Avatar', because that movie also took years to produce aswell? I don't know, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to tech & CGI. : /

The navigation on 3dS max ALWAYS bothered me. It's more intuitive on maya. That is the only reason for my preference of Maya over 3dS.
